yes communism would work better than the sysytem we have today
not sure what your asking tho
Why not ask the "soviets"; or the Cambodians; Oh wait; that was rude. You can't. The soviets system collapsed and the educated people of Cambodia
were killed by the young khmer rouge fighters in the"killing fields"..
I refuse to re fight a topic that has been done here many times by people more educated than I.
"Communism" looks great on paper and is a wonderful topic for debate in freshman poli -sci; but does not take into account human nature (
greed;selfishness; corruption).
Debate aside:The real world result is: a totalitarian centrally planned system; where the top party officials and politburo members are treated
like royalty with lip service paid to the usually cold, hungry masses they rule over with the iron fist of a closed society.
Cue the armchair debaters:" Well; that's not real "communism"...
Save your semantic word games for the professor. I' saw east Berlin after the wall came down. People don't escape the West to sneak into communist
countries. They do try to escape communist societies;and are usually killed for their attempt.
I AM unabashedly biased ; I helped keep SAC B-52 bombers cocked and ready while they stood alert: during the "ground alert" years.
I worked on the Boeing agm- 69a SRAM nuclear (short range attack missile) system from '78-'82.
My shop chief built "conventional gravity bombs". for the Infamous ARCLIGHT B-52 strikes during Viet nam.
"They" were and still are "the enemy".
That history (east/west Berlin; the "iron curtain" and viet nam)Is not too far in the distant past to remember.
Added: Brutal Oppression aside: would you want to work for Walmart 7days a week for $1.00 a day/ a free bunk in a concrete dormitory / free access to
a company cafeteria twice a day?
No you probably wouldn't.
But that's "communism" your basic needs are supposedly taken care of by "big brother"(if the bureaucracy doesn't screw up the "planning"). You are
involuntarily submitted to be an asset of the state. You own nothing. You control nothing. You decide nothing. You can't leave.
