Republicans on Sunday decried the notion of a new minimum tax rate for millionaires as “class warfare,” saying the proposal by President Obama may be intended to portray Congressional Republicans who resist it as being callously indifferent to the hardships facing many Americans. Representative Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Budget Committee, said the tax proposal, which Mr. Obama is expected to unveil on Monday, would also weigh heavily on a stagnating economy.
“It adds further instability to our system, more uncertainty, and it punishes job creation,” Mr. Ryan said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Class warfare may make for really good politics, but it makes for rotten economics.” The pushback from Republicans — Mr. Ryan was not the only one to use the words “class warfare” — was in response to a White House assertion that Mr. Obama would call for a new minimum tax rate for individuals making more than $1 million a year to ensure that they pay at least the same percentage of their earnings as middle-income taxpayers.

Not so Buster, NO Taxes means no taxes. Not on 98%, 2% or the top .05% in this case. No new taxes. Cut spending and live within our means. More taxes of any kind simply feeds more blood to the vampires in DC.
Cut spending.

Clinton was blessed with the internet bubble.... I would be all for everyone paying the same tax rate but that isn't what is happening when 50% don't even pay taxes. Give me a flat rate tax and I would be good with it.
Remember for all of the people complaining about the rich and the corporations, I never got one paycheck from anyone else but someone with money.

Yes your are right, but for how long will this country economy keeps going when most of what used to be the middle class keeps turning into working poor, somebody will have to provide for their financial needs.
So I guess the rich eventually will have to give away in order to be able to leach somebody else.
Because a welfare nation is what we are becoming.
Nobody can work and feed a family on minimum wages, support the economy and pay taxes.
that was the job of the middle class once upon a time.
