You know a funny thing happened today. I got lumbered with a really difficult job. You know the kind job that makes you wish you were back in bed. I just keeped thinking, "I wanna go home, I wanna go home". Then I started think about this thread, I started thinking about how I realised I am on a journey.

The "I wanna go home" feeling fell away. It was like I fell into a form of meditation. My mind was clear in the knowledge that life, my life, our lives are one long hard but amazing journeys.

Journeys a with beginning but no end.

Exactly.
It's amazing how the smallest shift in perspective can have such a dramatic effect. Be every moment, be IN every moment. Don't look ahead or behind, but simply be here, be now. The beauty of life is always in the now, but we don't realize that until we look back. My goal in life now is just to soak in every moment, good or bad, understanding that everything turns to dust, so absorb everything you can from the moments and if you look back later you will have no regrets, knowing that you had the fullest experience possible.

It seems to me now, that I have read your replies. You pretty much got hold of the ropes...more firmly that is.

Let this be a lesson for all of us...

"No retreat, no surrender"

Yes, I agree. the other thing I would like to add is that this is not an all-or-nothing deal here. It's normal to get burnt out, overwhelmed, etc. and when you do, don't be afraid to unplug and let your brain defragment for awhile. Go do something fun. It will call you back when it's time.

I completely agree, no matter whichever path is taken. It is all a learning experience...

Edit to add: Defrag is the word...lol. By the way, IT is my profession.

Thanks

Sometimes our journey through life takes us strange places and teaches us unexpected things. Sometimes we delight in learing new things and seeking knowldge and enlightenment. Sometimes we prefer to close our eyes and SLEEP. safe in the knowledge that everything in the world is as what it seems.

Sometimes we just need a break.

They'll continue to try to suck you back in until the day you die. Stay awake and indulge yourself in truth..maybe even do art or music to keep your head up. Keep pullin yourself together and brush the dirt of ya shoulders. Truth and divinity will always shine through if you're real

I'm very glad to hear that.
I know it can be tough, but don't let the buggers get you down. Don't let them 'win'.
Oh, and always do your best to keep a sense of humour. They hate it when they can't break that.
Peace to you.
