8 years!

Wow, I've been on ATS for 8 years today. It sure doesn't feel like it's been that long.

Well, I no longer believe in Atlantis for one. Also, I posted this thread comparing the Jersey Devil to a Hammerhead Bat in 2004; www.abovetopsecret.com... I have since seen the two being compared on Monsterquest and another show about the Jersey Devil. So, one of my crackpot theories wound up on national television, that's kind of cool.

Why don't you believe in Atlantis any longer? What made you disbelieve in it?
Have you listened to any of Graham Hancock's work? What about Plato's description of the events and rather precise dating to around the period of a large ice-age meltdown?

Yeah, I've read some of his work, he's a pseudo-scientist and I don't find him credible in the least. Also, there's only one historical account of Atlantis and in it, Atlantis is an allegory. Most all of the "information" about Atlantis comes from crackpots and prophets, neither of which should be considered reliable sources.

Congrats on your longevity here...It's hard to stay away from ATS isn't it?
