I feel sick. I can't articulate how I feel about the situation. Mankind wants smiting for thinking he can harness the Universes' most powerful energy source, and cut corners at the same time.

What is even worse (and should be viewed the same way as Nazi war criminals for the concentration camps) is how our "leaders" and others constantly lie and mislead when they have just committed the single greatest act of destruction and harm upon the planet because of knowingly lax design and safety in the name of profit.

Even the after-effects of Chernobyl have yet to be fully realized; it will be decades before the full extent of the damage from Fukushima is known.

I have not seen the infant mortality rate information yet, so thank you for bringing this to my attention, however I cannot help but fear what the next 5 to 10 years may hold for us. Very disheartening.

That is very sad. Your people are dying faster than ours, but we're all in it, heck I'm down wind of you in California. I'm sure I've shares some radiation with you. Not to mention the oceans totally screwed, and all that. I mean come on. You government lies to you and panders to your corp's, just like ours. I can't believe how calm your people have been.

Is the Japanese "grapevine" as extensive, operative and quick as the Chinese one? I suspect it may well be. If so, a LOT gets communciated on that . . . and more or less accepted as at least TENTATIVELY TRUE.

We all try to live with this disaster and we do it already well,
now we need more Brainstorming and Think Tanks!

That could be productive . . . a lot more productive than sticking one's head in the contaminated sand.

Even informal local community oriented think tanks made up of brighter, more creative . . . folks . . . those able to think outside the box . . . some respected wise old codgers . . . could come up with some helpful stuff for community organizing around practical solutions . . . at least practical measures lessening the traumas and problems.

Just the doing of such would help lessen a lot of stress on a lot of folks' part.
