Alright people i'm looking for cool bands with a psychedelic sound. I mainly listen to metal but it really doesn't matter. I listen to more than that too. Post one of your favorite psychedelic bands.

Probably too old for YouBoob, but seriously acidic rock;

Time Captains - Kingdom Come and Aurthur Brown - Album: Journey
Hall of the Mountain Grill and Orgone Accumulator - Hawkwind - Album: Space Ritual
Amazing Sounds - Hawkwind
Captain Lockeheed and the Starfighters - Robert Calvert, Alan Parsons, Eric Wolfson, Hawkwind and Aurthur Brown
Tangerine Dream - Phaedra

I'd be able to remember more, but the shrooms man, the shrooms.... LOL

Cheers - Dave

If you don't get it ... well you're not really into psychedelics.

if you were "really into psychedelics"...you wouldn't make such presumptuous statements, excluding others, making them feel less than. i'm sure i could throw some stuff at you that you wouldn't "get" either, sir, that i think every psychonaut should understand.

once you've really traveled the rabbit hole...you find that anything is possible and that you are only here to judge yourself.

and i say all this without having even listened to your mix. don't need to. i probably "get it" but still don't think what you said would come from someone who is truly open.

'Nuff said.

There are people that have touched "it" and people that haven't. Books that are open and books that are closed.

Everything is everything friend.

I suppose my post smacked of arrogance, and for that I apologize. That certainly was not my intent. I do not have the answers, I don't know "everything" -- nor do I want to give the impression that I do.

You must remember, however that I am surrounded by people that wish to stay sleeping to the nature of reality. It can be frustrating that elements of reality wish to maintain in that state.

I do understand though that for understanding, there has to be non-understanding. People have to sleep in order for others to be awake.

I can describe what I have learned, and show to others "that know" affirmations and reflections of their own self-discoveries.

I use the terms "get it" or "know" because that is what the English language limits me to. It's not some kind of secret or elite club -- it's a vibe and feeling. You don't have to take illegal drugs to understand and open your mind.

I sincerely understand you objections and sentiments -- and apologize for the "holier than thou" tone of the post you replied to. The world isn't rendered in black and white and in my haste posting, I came across that way. Thank you for putting me in my place, making me step back and re-evaluate. Thank you!
