I oppose most things in this world - I believe very strongly in justice and I see no justice in the world. How is it my karma causing it? The innocent suffer at the hands of the guilty. That's not a problem with your phantom karma, it's just the sad nature of reality and the sad quality of the human race.

By that definition evil would be The Crusades. The slaughter of the Templar knights. The extermination of entire heathen races of people in the old testament or even the bringing down of the world trade centre.

Evil by your definition is evil regardless of who is performing the sin. Christians, Cahtholics or you.

Evil is an outstanding philosophy in a black and white world... unfortunately the world we live in only shades of grey.

Which is worse... A husband abusing his wife or his wife allowing him to do so by doing nothing to stop it?

It's the split second you infringe on another person's well being. I account for the shades of grey just as I prepare for the change in seasons. The right thing to do is cross over the threshold to sacrifice. The wrong thing to do is quite obvious... Turn on the news most days.

Can't win all the time, but I have a pretty decent track record. To be more specific (since you're going back and forth between absolutes) what I reference is not the current structure of our society. What you're witnessing now is a lack of integrity, greed, and basic ignorance trickling down. In this case it starts with you, and empties with a sinkhole atop your family and friends. Agreed... there is a distinct lack of positive influences and healty role models in todays society, this does cause many people to experience what they may define as less then desirable experiences...

But if you are unhappy with the world aound you my friend, I invite you to change it. God knows that what we are doing is not working... But that doesn't make us evil.

I provide links to what I'm doing. I was also under the impression you missed the sticking point. Since it's found to be correct I'll reiterate: Not evil, but lesser and lesser degrees of good.

What utter rubbish. Your "cest la vie" attitude is academic nonsense that you can push because your mind isn't living anywhere near reality. If you are beaten by the police state, murdered, your family murdered, your house burned to the ground, etc. You will know that victims exist and that you are one.

There is a massive amount of evil in this world. If you don't fight against it, you are part of it.

I will now tell you of 2 imaginary planets in addition to Earth. One houses a warlike lizard race who kill each other as a matter of course. Another houses beings that live mostly in harmony with each other. Each species' behavior is a resulting characteristic of their genome.

If the warlike lizard planet suddenly got destroyed, it would not destroy the other. The good beings that live in harmony didn't need the warlike planet to exist, in order to exist. They're just good.

That is your choice to be infringed upon. You created the circumstance where you could be infringed upon if someone held the opinion expressed. The words are neutral, they are gibberish. We each see the pattern and assign/create our own meaning to them... and then based on the meaning we interpret... we choose a response.

You have the choice to be infringed by another's opinion being expressed. This is your free will to be a co-creator of the universe with the rest of us.
