Your link is bad.
Fix it, I want to say.

Your link takes me back to the ATS home page

But rainbows can be as low as they want, depending on where you are in relation to the water/light source.

I'm a little dissapointed that we've not got another "sprinkler lady" on our hands

Haha, we all remember the crazy sprinkler lady...

"What is oozing out of our ground to make this type of effect happen?... this cannot be natural"

I saw a rainbow a few months ago on a beautiful clear day, not a rain-cloud in sight.

Don't know much about the rules for our atmospheric phenomena but I hadn't seen that happen before.

If there is enough moisture in the air.
You can have a rainbow without clouds.

PS, OP fix your link!

There you go
and it looks like you are figuring out the correct link to post now. Very good.

You left off this part ".jpg[/atsimg]"

that said, I have seen them lower. Just a few feet off the ground due to sprinklers and what not.

I don't even have to view your picture because i also saw the lowest rainbow i have ever seen today. I am in Aberdeen and it was East out to the North Sea and i have seen hundreds of rainbows (scottish weather is often rain and sun). I was actually going to start a thread on it.

Usually if the rainbow is wide, you only see each end of it as the rest isn't illuminated as its in the cloud but this rainbow was about 500ft high at the most and stretched an easy 2 miles. It was complete.

Nice rainbow, but does not get the emotional reaction of a double rainbow

Many, many maaaannnyy years ago I was driving along in the country when I spotted a rainbow in my wing mirror, then one in front, then to the side of the one in front, then one on the other side of the one in front. I stopped the car in a lay-by and got out......there were 7 rainbows forming a circle around me! It was awesome!
No pic's as I said it was that far back...no mobiles, vid cameras etc.....darn shame.
Rainbows

That's ridiculous.

I honestly hope that you were joking, but I don't think that you were.

I was once in a car and the sun and rain were so perfectly placed that I could follow the rainbow all across the sky and then it came down to the side of the road I was on, only a couple of feet away. That just shows it's a trick of refraction, and depends more on where YOU are than anything else. Fun, though.
