I have a serious question:

Do these camera's have a small infrared function?

Can they see in the infrared spectrum?

I dont know about cell phone cameras, but alot of camcorders can pick up infrared light even if they dont come with a infrared light.
You can easily test this by pointing a tv remote control or similar at the camera.

OK, it's not Elenin.

Is it Nibiru? IF Nibiru exists thats about where it would be.

I will point out certain other posts like some above mine that show up within seconds of an original post and claim "lens flair" and opticle issues have to be what we are witnessing. Does any one else here wish that they got paid a certain amount of cash for hanging out at a website and telling other people that they are dumb for questioning the "official" story on something.

Yup, I've been thinking that for sometime now.
It's almost like all it takes is a key word or phrase and poof " Your not seeing what you think your seeing. Move along now."

You know, the first thing you need to do is to recognize how idiotic the OP is. What information did it convey? Was there anything in the OP that could help or credibility to what they were seeing such as where, when, how long of a duration, did it move or change shape, was it rotating with the sky,, was it there when they first saw it, or did it appear at a place where it wasn't a second before?

Nothing of substance, and you complain about others that complain. Isn't that ironic?

Yep, I saw that, You are probably right. Until he uses his finger to show us then we won't know.

People, you all need to stop jumping on Phage, he's quick to dismiss because he knows what he's on about. I, for one, appreciate his contributions. It helps stop unnecessary threads go on longer than needed.

Cool stuff. Well, the sun is up somewhere in the world - maybe go out and video the sky, see if anything else is picked up?

Also - the video titles are quick to assume this is "Elenin", which can only mean the people who made the videos are clued into the "hype" - which isn't your average Joe.. So there is a part of me that thinks this is a kind of setup/hoax, perhaps perpetrated for the "perihelion".

Then again though, maybe that's just the reason why they titled their videos "ELENIN".

I'll be out with my cameras tomorrow to see if they pick anything up. And look forward to telling all my Facebook friends a gigantic deadly object is on a collision course with Earth.

I suppose this is the wrong board to point-out the possibility that perhaps what people see is not what they think it is, and that there really is nothing to see here? I mean seriously, how many times must people be told that a lense flare is a lense flare before they start learning how to recognise a lense flare when they see one for the umpty-jillionth time?

Just to make sure you all know, the phrase "deny ignorance" does not mean "deny that you are ignorant," It means "learn something!" Sheesh!

This is what a lens flare can look like. Make up your own mind
