New ATS Background Image

Okay.....seriously guys? Seriously? Seriously......seriously?

Why post an image of a follower of the Islamic faith against a background of the fallen towers opposite of a fallen soldiers M-4 and Kevlar helmet? To remind us of what we are fighting for huh? You guys are no better than the MSM who are constantly trying to keep us in fear by reminding us that EVERY SINGLE MUSLIM is out to kill EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN. This background is tasteless and incredibly offensive. The Muslims do not hate us, they hate our LEADERS. What does this have to do with ATS? The eleventh has come and gone. Give us a break with this crap.

I know! It is like they want to get a rise out of us. I swear they do not like their user-base one bit. I mean, if you look at the 404 pages now, they all poke fun at conspiracy theorists. Why start up and maintain a conspiracy site if you are going to poke fun at your users? Then this post this crap when they know that 98% of the people who visit this site do not even believe the official story.

This site has gone downhill. GLP is looking much better every single day. Plus all the mods are ban happy. It is pathetic how many people have been banned in the last year for snarky comments against the mods. That is what happens when you put a bunch of insecure people in charge of moderating a forum.

Watch me get banned for this, just watch. No one can speak their mind about how this site is ran with out getting their threads 404ed or getting banned altogether.

Agreed, but this is unacceptable. I am kind of disgusted, and I am a simple American.

I actually like the background, it seems to be much better than the old black one. I don't think its racist that there is a muslim in the picture, how do you know that the gun and helmet are from an american? Anyways, I think its only racist if you want it to be...

As I remember, there is more than one victim of 9-11. Those who died in the Twin Towers which are represented on the background. Also, the soldiers who have died fighting the unjust war which resulted from the tower attacks, who are also represented in the image. And the innocent Muslims who have been a target both in America and over seas dying at the hand of the American government. I think this is the most honest memorial/image I have seen yet.

Just shows how much personal perception plays a part in things.

I guess I am the only one seeing the layers of symbolism in the background image. The man on the right represents lives lost in the Afghan/Middle East wars. The Building ruins are obviously the civilian losses of 9/11 and the Rifles on the left aren't all the same one. They are 4 different ones. 2 appear to be U.S. M-4's (maybe someone else can tell a difference between them). One is the SA-80 from Great Britain and the rear one looks like the AICW that a couple sites have as the next Australian service rifle. It looks like a well balanced image of memorial to all sides with people lost.

Great job ATS. I find the image tasteful and classy, even if many others don't.

WOW, just when I was questioning the fact ATS tried to force us to remember 9/11 with the 1hr and 32mins of banning anyone to read any forums, today they come up with this.

Absolutely pathetic, I guess we've now seen the ATS owners true colors, tomorrow we'll see a holocaust memorial.
