Islamic leaders reject marital rape law

Critics of proposed rape law argue that it goes against Islam, which says husband has the right to sex with wife.

"A husband has the right to be intimate with his wife and the wife must obey. If the wife refuses, the rule of nusyus (recalcitrance) can be applied and the husband will no longer be responsible to provide for his wife."

I guess they like rape?
I wonder what the Women�s Liberation Army have to say about this?

What's actually quite disturbing is the fact that a marriage can be lift up or at least easily divorced IF the wife(or the husband) refuses to have sex or a baby.(talking about western countries now!!!)

(Even more disturbing: It's more likely a man will get the lawsuit running than a woman. Reason: The man can always claim he isn't in for Sex because of impotence while the woman is considered being "always able". Bah! )

Of course every case needs to be seen from its own perspective but in general it's not only possible but done quite regulary as I described above.

Sure, something different than rape but still a pressure for sex, eh?
