Sadly, I don't have it anymore, but hopefully you all believe me.
Ofcourse, since the anniversary is practically here, it's been on my
my mind and I need to let it out. I was in 7th grade when 9/11 happened.
My parents didn't like tv, so we didn't have one. My dad worked for the school district,
and would print out the news everyday and bring it home.
We would read it and talk about it. Well, my dad is a hunter.
He loves getting magazines and showing us what he wants for
Christmas. Anyways, about 3-5 days after 9/11, I was going through
his magazines, and I like to read them back to front.
You all know how towards the end, they always have cheap ads,
From gold, to coins, to little crosses for sale. Well, as I was
going through them, I saw a small ad that had the twin towers(yes,
it was the actual twin towers) and an airplane flying right close them.
It wasn't crashing into them, it simply was flying "by" them.
Having just heard the news, I freaked out. As a 7th grader, obviously
no one was going to hear me out, or even take the time to
listen, so I tore the page and kept it. Sadly, we later moved a couple of
times after that, and lost it.
but, I specifically telling myself that this
was very strange. Obviously, at the time I thought it was "terrorists" that
Did this, so I asked myself how al qaeda would have access to a cheap magazine
like this. The add didn't even have anything it was really advertising
as far as I can remember. But that is my story. I know this is far out,
but maybe some of you saw this same magazine? I don't the
title, but it had to have been some gun or hunting magazine.
hope you all don't bash me, and call me crazy, but I thought
it would be interesting to share that with you all.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this story. I suppose I might find it strange if there was no other purpose to the add, but a plane flying by the twin towers just seems like it would have been aesthetically pleasing. I doubt that there is anything to it. Still interesting and thanks for sharing.

I don't think you are crazy. It's hard to really be able to make a rational judgment without seeing the picture, but losing it over a period of 10 years make sense. I doubt that the terrorists took out an ad in a magazine just for kicks...coincidence?

Thanks guys. I guess what makes my story different than the
usual "9/11 was predicted" was, I wasn't looking for it.
I simply, was reading a magazine and came across it. Til this day,
I find it very strange, but I guess we'll never know the truth behind it all.
It's actually kind of funny, now that I look back. I really thought it was
the weirdest thing, but didn't really tell anyone because, there really
wasn't anything to tell besides the coincidence.

I'm one of those guys that always wants to buy a new car. I'll start lusting after a certain model and lo and behold I start seeing them EVERYWHERE. I think this may be similar.

But I wasn't "looking" for it. I wasn't even a conspiracy
theorist back then. Lol I was a 7th grader, just flipping through
a magazine.

Ok what magazine was this? Most libraries carry hard copies of back issues.

One thing I remember is a few days before 9/11 CNN changed their format. They kept running ads with the tag line of something like "this changes everything".

I honestly don't remember. I just remember it was one of those
free ones you get in the mail. It was also pretty thin. I could
ask my dad, but he doesn't have a great memory. But maybe he can
give me sources to at least narrow down the search.

I think Domo might have hit something here. I know you knew nothing of being a conspiracy theorist at that time, but we tend to find the things that we are looking for. Not to use the same example that Domo gave (a great one), I purchased a vehicle last year that I was really excited about and didn't see very often in my area. Low and behold, since then, I see the same Make/Model all the friggin time!

By no means do I say this because I think you are crazy or anything like that. The most logical guess I can make is that you had those events on your mind and noticed a coincidence in a picture in an ad that made a connection. I'll be interested to hear if your Dad can remember the mag though!

I've often seen in films and read in fiction that people place small ads in obscure publications to send messages.
Could be something like this - a visual enactment would be enough to either warn others to stay away, or advise others of the plan in advance. I doubt that you'd want to be using the phone system, mobile phones email or even the snail mail if you wanted to spread the word.

I completely understand that. We just purchased a new car,
and I see them everywhere now! Lol but I guess, I was
just trying to say that I didn't "make" this ad connect to
9/11.well technically yes I did, but I mean, I wasn't like
those people that try to find any little thing to connect with 9/11.
Do you understand me? I know I sound confusing. Lol but yea,
It was very strange. I will call and ask tomorrow.

What's funny, is I remember asking myself, "I wonder
if any old men reading this magazine noticed
this same thing?". Lol

Isn't it possible to provide information to people through ads in newspapers or such other types of communication? Suppose this is how the terrorists knew when they were supposed to start the attacks. Maybe they put an ad in the magazine as a calling card to each other to meet up and begin the attacks. A clever way to communicate without raising any alarm bells.

My point being you notice things and they seem more important when you are aware of them. I'm having trouble explaining myself and I'm going to blame the NyQuil.

I would assume that yes, it IS very possible that
People can communicate through ads. It would actually
be very clever. That has crossed my mind,
but ofcourse, they are just thoughts.

This makes me really sad that I lost that page.

Just a thought, as I'm not trying to convince you what you saw is nothing but there ARE anomalies surrounding 9/11 that I would bet my farm on are NOT related to the conspiracy. Mainly, three albums. One by a rap group I remember not that showed a plane appearing to crash into the twin towers. Slayer - God Hates Us All (kinda explanatory title there) and Dream Theater's Live:Scenes From New York that had a picture of a burning apple on the cover(get it, the Big Apple) and the latter two were released on 9/11.

Creepy coincidences and if there is some connection, some crap TPTB are doing to us well they sure as hell have done a whopper with those albums. How's that for saying "HA! We did it and we are going to get away with it"?

Interesting, but no, that was not the ad. The one I saw,
was not during the night time. It was during the day, and
it wasn't even a real photo. It was more like, they made
it on the computer. I could be wrong, but I don't think
It was a real life photo.

I ruled out Time Magazine, since they don't even have ads in the back,
and I remember it being some cheap magaine.
Ill try to find out tomorrow.

But no, it wasn't that one.

It was just the twin towers and a plane. Nothing else.
