I salvaged this reel of film from a TV station that used to sign of with it during the 1960s.

Could have been. This particular print was used in Alabama, but who knows how many other stations had the same footage.

OMG...I was born in the 70's and used thru all the time..during school...I remember because I always wondered the difference in use between through and thru..my mom always wrote thru..

hmm...the "original" is not the same video like the one posted by OP, what indicates that the two are "the same"???

So bizarre! When I was a small kid I told my parents I didn't like that closing film. They asked why, it's beautiful pictures and nice music... I distinctly remember saying it made me feel weird in my head.

Trust your instincts! We know more than we recognize!

Edit: seems maybe it's been debunked... Odd I'd have such a strong, specific memory of something like that.

Nice try to label it debunked, there could very well be different versions out there!

This could very well have been an experiment on mind control.

It's not debunked until we have conclusive proof this was NEVER AIRED.

That was the scariest sh*t I've seen!!! The slowed video gave me the creeps out of my skin... Not to mention that in the '70s and '80s, when the TV programming was off, they put those colorful vertical bars and that annoying continuous beeeeeeeeep, which I'm sure sounded in a specific frequency to attack the brain while people were sleeping. Go figure out the TV turned on while you sleep, emitting EM waves and that sound at same time... Creepy stuff!!

The question mark would be there because it's in the lyrics:

It's a question being posed at the end of the song. In modern english it would be, "Is the flag still waving over the land of the free and the home of the brave?"
