Mods before you move this it is not totally paranormal so please read on...
Thank you.
Okay so when I was younger I was strongly psychic, I also had deja vu's regularly, but there are some very odd things that I have realized that was abnormal about me too, and I wondered if any other psychics or empaths have noticed it in themselves, too.
First I had an eidetic memory, I could sit there and recite lines from movies, tv shows, songs etc... I also could imitate the actors like english accents and stuff like that, I read things having to do with Ancient Egypt, I think this would classify as something much like an Aspergers, falling under the

restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.
Courtesy of Wikipedia ( for the sake of length ok), here is the link: Aspergers, one of the repetitive things I did was sing all the time no matter where, when, or who was around and of course my interest (ancient egypt) was a very narrow interest. Anyways, also I am particularly good at guessing a correct mathamatical answer especially with graphs, but if I do the actual math it screws me up and I come up with the wrong answer. Also I was always really good with number patterns like phone numbers, etc, which led to me scoring real real high on the ASVAB test in the engineering section of that test, I scored higher than anyone had up to that point in time (app 1989).
( they actually thought I cheated, but I don't see how beings that my score was the highest so?)

So What I am wondering is if some other psychics or empaths have noticed these other traits in themselves, or even non psychics. I been thinking about this alot lately because it is curious. Might there be a classification for these types of things?

Have read anything on low latent inhibition? Probably not what you are talking about, but some of it reminded me of lli. Actually everything except the whole not being able to work out the math problem instead of guessing

Wow that is interesting and this tidbit kind of does describe how I can do the math thing.

•Leaps of logic are common. Instead of progressing A,B,C,D and onward, you skip from A to N to Z, accurately.

That would explain how I can figure math problems without the math of course it doesn't explain how come the A to B to C to D messes me up lol.
That is very informative though, I am wondering if this can be connected to psychics though still, even though I am no longer psychic, actually many of the things are going away with old age, lol, but still maybe there is a connection?

my dr told me that i had this back in 2002, i always thought that i was very intuitive but with lli you see tiny details and connect dots that most people dnt even reallize are there. its kinda like having an intp personallity on steriods.

As far as "steps abcd" messing you up, i find that when a problem is deconstructed i am forced to look at many different aspects of irrellivent information which sometimes cause me to lose track of the original problem

Exactly, I do think that tthe LLI really does fit, and it's weird, I never knew it even existed, also I thought well I am not creative but I am a writer who enjoys writing fiction so I am creative I guess. Well that's the basis of my thread, too that maybe precognition isn't really magical, but more about perception and how we see patterns and can surmise events that are going to happen just because we are picking up extra stimuli that others block out, that is really the core of what I think could be a link to explain these abilities, although I have no clue how it would work with mediums. Oh and the part about being human lie detectors, well I always brag about being able to be a human lie detector, I swear if there really was a job like the guy in Lie To Me does that would SO be my calling.

Same here, Everything you explained from the narrow interests to the great memory and accents. I dropped maths as early as I could never had an interest and never paid attention in class nor did I revise and I passed. Isn't all this normal?

Edit: I always used my own theories to solve problems in math and all my teachers thought I cheated, At one point they even used to ask me if I was psychic.

I don't think it is normal. I don't know that is the question I am partly asking. I also have had teachers ask me if I was psychic I was what one considered psychic when I was that age but lied anyway because well Who wants to be a freak? Lol. I also had this thing where I could fall asleep in class and the teacher tried to call me out on it, until I repeated all he had said while I was sleeping, and yes I was fully asleep. He never bothered me when I slept again lol.

I once had a weird but temporary ability. I missed the first few weeks of high school one year due to a death in the family. When I started physics, I didn't have a scientific calculator and since we were struggling so much financially as a family, I just couldn't ask my parents for it. I tried to hide my lack of a calculator from the teacher and lined up babysitting jobs to get the money. At our first exam (just days after I joined the class), I couldn't accurately compute the formulas without the calculator, so I tried to visualize the missing numbers and plug them into the formulas, knowing that they had to be incorrect, but hoping to show the teacher I understood how the formulas worked and get partial credit. The teacher asked me to stay after school. He seemed intense, and I figured I was in deep trouble. He wanted me to demonstrate how I solved the problems. So I broke down and told him I guessed the sin/cosine numbers and explained about the lack of a calculator. He looked very confused, and then asked me to guess a few other numbers. I did and guessed correctly. He gave me a calculator to keep, and then explained that most of the class had failed the exam, except for me- I had aced it. He then put me in an honors class. Although I continued to do well in math and physics, my ability to visualize numbers faded.
I also had unusual experiences at a young age that some may classify as paranormal.

Haha yeah that happened to me a lot, I was the only one allowed to sleep during class. I would never consider myself to be psychic but I noticed I can read peoples thoughts via body language. I can tell who likes me/hates me, If someone is going to approach me etc.

Did you read about LLI? I am thinking this may be what could explain what is happening in some cases. Maybe losing your loved one gave you temporary LLI? Loss and depression is all about brain functions and maybe this is something to consider?

one way that they test for lli is high dopamine levels as they are known to reduce a persons latent inhibition, traumatic loss could trigger high dopamine levels i guess

If you've read my threads you should now by now that I'm beyond depressed, Words can no longer describe it. It's made my view life in a different view, It's like I can almost foretell what's going to happen.....peoples reactions etc. It's like a game to me and I always used to bet with my friends and end up winning because they never understood how I could do it. I've become brutally honest and I get approached by girls at times and they say they have the biggest crush on me, I reply saying I know and they always wonder how I do it. Is this normal? I've never been wrong when it comes to this, Just a quick glance and I already know.

yeah reading body language is pretty natural... they say that you can tell everything that you need to know about a person just by the way they approach you

Oddly enough I am pretty much a depressive personality, too. I suffer with Seasonal affected depression. I also just found this on WebMD:

Researchers say they've found a new way in which prolonged exposure to the chemical messenger dopamine may play a role in depression as well as drug addiction. If confirmed by further studies, they say the discovery could lead to a new understanding of these complex disorders as well as better treatments.

Dopamine

This would certainly coincide wouldn't it?

When I turned 14 I become very quiet and used to mind my own business just sit down and watch everyone else. I guess that's how I developed this sense. Like I said I can just walk past someone and tell....When I go out my friends I tell them "You see that girl over there, She's gonna approach you" and they laugh until a couple of mins later.

I'm bi-polar, Mood swings but mostly peace and then heavy sadness and later anger. Hardly any happiness, I barely sleep at night.

yeah, that sounds about right. people watching probably is where you picked up on behavior patterns and learned to recognize them easily. when you say that you became quiet, was this because on some level you became frustrated with the fact that you could never fully articulate your thoughts to others? not because you were a bad speaker, but because they were sometimes just to long and complex to work into everyday conversation?

Up until the age of 14 I was the class of the clown I loved being in the spot light and speaking in public was never a problem. I had a few issues when I was a kid dad was an alcoholic and my mom ditched us for a while (Never been molested, Thank God for that). I remember feeling a sort of emptiness within me but I couldn't pin point it, Until one day my principle walked up to me and asked me if I was depressed and If I had any family problems. I laughed and cursed at him and changed schools, Only to think back a couple of weeks later and realize that he was right. I was depressed, and the reason I had felt the emptiness inside me was starting to make sense.

I couldn't stop smiling when I was a kid no matter what happened, I was always happy. I never smile anymore......

So i sat there watching everyone and it seemed like a circus of fools. Everyone was doing things to impress others and never for themselves and I just sort of became a loner. All through to college, Just had a handful of friends and funny thing is they also seemed depressed. I was really popular and all the girls liked me but I wasn't interested and my mind was always racing with thoughts. I got everything most people would only dream of at the age of 17 but I never filled that empty gap inside me.

You don't have to be sorry dude.......It's fine, I'm trying to work on it. But ever since it's just been a downhill struggle gaining material wealth but losing everything else that had true meaning to me....Most importantly family. At the moment my life has come to a stand still I no longer care about material wealth and can do little to fit back the pieces to my life.
