In an interview inside his Northwest D.C. home last week, the noted civil rights leader, told the Afro that he watched French and Danish troops storm small villages late at night beheading, maiming and killing rebels and loyalists to show them who was in control.
Fauntroy visited Libya on a "peace mission" during the 2011 Libyan civil war. He remained there through the invasion of Tripoli, amongst the journalists holed up at the Rixos Hotel, where all Western media has been based; this fact was confirmed by CNN reporter Matthew Chance on August 23, 2011, who noted on Twitter that Fauntroy was among the journalists being held within the hotel. He was released with the rest of the foreign nationals on August 25, 2011, and returned to Washington, where he took part in remembrances of the anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. I don't know enough about the military to say for certain, but wouldn't it be to risky to wear national symbols on your uniforms if you are operating in a country you aren't supposed to be in? Also, I think he has got some kind of super vision, since the national symbols on the uniforms aren't that big. He would have to be fairly close to make out where the soldiers are from.

I would say it does when your making allegations of miss-deeds and criminality that steps outside of cultural norms. Some types of atrocity are well within the capability of some cultures while some are within the capability of others.
If cultural mores no longer hold even a little truth then I really fear for the world.. But I don't think we (humanity) have gone that far down the drain (yet) and as such don't believe this particular tale holds water.
That is not to say other atrocities are not being carried out but this one does not ring true for me.edit on 10/9/11 by thoughtsfull because: (no reason given)
