Reinforced concrete core with waffle slabs supported by internal RC columns and steel beams, with perimeter steel columns which were unprotected above the 17th Floor level at the time of the fire.

The steel section above the 17th floor collapsed from the fire

The Windsor Tower was completely gutted by the fire on 12 February 2005. A large portion of the floor slabs above the 17th Floor progressively collapsed during the fire when the unprotected steel perimeter columns on the upper levels buckled and collapsed (see Figure 1). It was believed that the massive transfer structure at the 17th Floor level resisted further collapse of the building.

The falling Penthouse has been in the NIST report on WTC 7, since the report was released. There's a complete timeline for the collapse of WTC 7 in that report. The same time line also mentions the free fall acceleration that occured for 2.25 seconds.

Normal folks have a choice to remain ignorant and trust what they read on conspiracy forums, or to deny ignorance and research as much as they can. Probably easier for most normal folks to switch off the internet and turn on the TV or go watch some live sporting event in a gladitorial arena.

I'd simply substitute "Normal folks" for "Working folks". Prior to Nov of last year when some medical issues forced me into freelance work, I didn't have the time to thoroughly research every story I wanted to or that I really needed to, despite being a serious news hound to the extent time allowed. I don't believe it's ignorance as much as it's trying to find the pieces of true value in a sea of questionable items.

Thank you for directing me to the NIST report. I must admit I've read references to it, but never actually sat down and read it. Now between the OP video, the Madrid Tower fire I went off to learn about and your own post directing me to this:

I believe I can say I have a far better understanding as to what happened at that small piece of the 9/11 events than I did this morning. To refer back to another point in the thread, this is what makes Alternative Media so much stronger than MSM can really hope to be. You are right though. It requires work to get the real benefits from it.

as to the whodunnit , just listen to this guy....visit his website too, he has the most comprehensive list of blogs explaining who is behind almost everything that has ever been a bad situation in history......

ok, i think people are misinterpreting what was meant by melting steel.....we are talking about reall melting steel, like flowing lava style melting steel,,,molten steel was found in the wtc7 rubble, how did office fires melt the steel to the liquid point? I would love for the people who believe the official story to explain that to me......

Even if the interior structure collapsed similarly to the extent depicted in the NIST animation in just eight seconds (yeah right) it still does not explain how the birdcage-like exterior frame collapsed through itself at free fall while only having to carry its own self-weight (as the floors to which the live loads were applied had supposedly already collapsed).

I don't see how that scenario suddenly makes free fall acceptable.

Thats why i believe that building 7 was demolished because surely it would of partially collapsed or just bits falling off....not collapse like it did.

Some institutions do. But the point is, the phrase "architects and engineers" describes a set belonging to those two professions. Someone who is degreed but does not practice the profession is not an architect or an engineer. They could honestly join "People Who Studied Architecture and Engineering for 9/11 Truth," but letting them into AE911 Truth is just disingenuous.

If these three courses are sufficient to analyze collapsing skyscrapers, why did NIST hire a bunch of PhDs and specialists to do it for them? They could've gotten anyone with a BS in any engineering discipline and saved us all some money. Or perhaps a bachelor's level education in physics, followed by a career in paper or BME, does not prepare one to analyze the collapse of a skyscraper? I wouldn't send a NIST structural engineer to do a BME's job; would you send a BME to do a structural engineer's job?

I never claimed to address what the 99.9+% who didn't sign believe. I was doing just what I said, putting the 1500+ number in context so readers would not be snowed by it. An "architects and engineers for 9/11 reality" petition would be an interesting exercise; we could probably limit it to people named Steve like that evolution declaration and get a pretty good result. I can't be bothered to do it, though.
