I came across this interesting set of pictures while doing my daily visit to a UFO blog I like to read.

Link to article: Lights in the Texas Sky

The sighting report is as follows:

normally do not pay much attention to UFO sightings or even read about them. This may sound strange, but the prior day I was watching on the internet an experience that someone had with a UFO. I normally don't believe these stories, but this was coming from a prominent Christian, telling about an expereince he had more than 40 years ago. Today, I decided to buy a new book to read and purchased the book "Majestic", for no particular reason until I began to read what it was about, a story about the Rosewell incident. I then came home and had this feeling to look out my window in my apartment, but saw nothing. 10 minutes later I had this feeling again to look out my window and I saw a rectangle shaped object that seemed as large as an 18 wheeler or bigger hovering at least a 1000 feet moving from right to left slowly for about 5 minutes, and then it began to move away at a faster pace until it disappeared in the horizon after about 2 minutes. I took pictures because it seemed very odd that something shaped like a rectangle was flying with nothing else near it.

and the witness managed to get a few pics. Click on the link above to view all 3

I'm generally quite skeptical with photographic "evidence" for many cases but this one has me intrigued. I've never seen anything like it before. The shape of the object makes it hard to put it into contrast as far as size/distance of it.

What say you experts?

I live in the area.

That weekend there was a plane with a banner being pulled behind it for much of the day. I was never able to read the banner because it seemed to be facing away from the center of the city itself.

The size looks almost exactly the same. Doesn't mean it *is* the same thing, but that's what I saw in the skies that weekend.

Namaste.

I would love this to be real but in my opinion the photos look kind of photo shopped. Just my opinion though. No way to tell without original images though right?

I got to say, it does look like a banner being pulled from a plane but I would have never guessed it without you mentioning it.

Remember this guy is in the middle of the area with all the wild fires, with all that extreme heat i think it's possible some debris could have lifted in the air by the thermals, but just the sheer size of this thing has me doubting that that's the case. Good find op.

I've seen a weird rectangularish flying thing, but are we sure this rectangular and not cylindrical?

I am greatly inclined to agree with you.
This guy doesn't believe in UFOs... buys a book... goes outside and sees a plane with a banner. So, he snaps a few shots with the plane just out of view, or even photo shops it out. Posts it on a UFO blog to see the reactions he can get.
Or, maybe it was an honest mistake and he just didn't see the airplane... But in the close up, it looks like you can see part of the wire attached to the banner on the bottom.

I'll give you an argument against the banner being towed by an airplane:
It's too short. What kind of message would even fit on that?
Interesting

From what I could tell based on light shining through it, it was some sort of logo. Honestly whenever I feel advertised to I tend to avert my gaze so I didn't spend much time looking at it.

It was a short banner though... pretty much exactly those dimensions. It looked more white, but that could depend on time of day, etc.

Note: I'm one who often suggests that Chinese Lanterns are exactly the camo I would use if I were an alien/inter dimensional being wanting to observe humans. So I don't discount any possibility... just sharing what I was seeing.

Namaste!

My firs thought was, "banner being pulled by air plane".

Its obviously a door into another dimension that has appeared in the wrong place. If you search the area below it you may find a very dead time traveller.

did someone cut a hole in the picture with an x-acto knife?
looks odd.

I'm in agreement. We see a plane-towed banner a couple of times a week during our commute home (they fly over the Rangers games) and depending on your visual perspective of the banner, it sometimes looks unworldly. Not sure why that explanation didn't occur to me when I first saw these photos though.

Thanks for the insight!

One picture on "Lights in the Texas Sky" website is a wider angle shot and i don't see any aircraft that would be pulling a banner.

To those who are saying it's a advert. banner flown from a plane may I ask one question?: where is the plane?????

For the "banner" to be that size in the photograph would mean that the plane would be obviously visible. So where is the plane that is pulling it? Where is the tow line that connects to the plane?

Banner=No
Something Unidentified=Yes

I have to say when I first saw this, it immediately reminded me of something I caught totally by accident. Now I know it may sound silly because it was on google street view, so I guess it doesnt really count, but then one can never really know for sure eh?

Coming from Fla. though, I have seen tons of planes with banners over the beach etc., I have never known the plane to be so far out ahead that it wouldnt have been in the picture such as the one presented.

You dont really have to watch the whole video Im posting below to see the same rectangle shape, but it will make much more sense if you do to see how I arrived to it. Either way, up to you, the rectangle part comes in around the 2:56 mark along with another object as well.
