Gee guys! This is my first post instead of "replying" to posts! Alrightttttttttttttttt!!

Actually this is your first thread... so congratulations.

Its a good idea though when you start a thread to have a topic to discuss.. instead of just announcing"this is my first post".

Don't want to rain on your parade..cause I know you feel like you've broken some new ground here.... just a warning to let you know..that a new thread needs some sort of topic..or the mods will likely pull it off.

Take care..and look forward to reading threads you have started with a topic..

Introductions are for the introduction forum , and I would love to read his introduction. There was no introduction here at all.... just an announcement that this was his first post..which wouldn't really cut it so well in the introduction thread.

I'm just trying to help this member out a little..and want him/her to understand why it may be taken down.

This being the general chit chat section....I don't think there's such a need to play moderator fan-person.

I'm a member of about 5 other Boards so basically I know how to post and start topics. This site is SO big and kind of confusing so I posted where I thought was the right place........and yes.....you did rain on my parade...

Most of them have one goal, and it is to prove you wrong or disagree with you.
It's a rat race, Gabby was first place.


And to Gabby, It was an introduction. Before this thread I didn't know him/her. Neither did you. Now we do.

Sorry I didn't see an introduction there..and I certainly didn't mean to hurt his feelings in any way..was just trying to tell him that generally a thread needs a topic , and I didn't see "this is my first post" as much of a topic...and was really honestly thinking it might get pulled.

You seem to want to paint me as some evil person waiting to pounce on and disagree with everyone.. which is hardly the truth.

seems like you are guilty of this as well... by the tone and attitude you took with your posts in this thread. I was trying to help the dude.. you are trying to prove me wrong for it..and paint me out to be something I'm not.

Please explain to me how I was harsh? I would like to know so I can better understand how to express myself..

I said congratulations right off.. I told him I looked forward to reading further threads he started.. I told him I didn't want to rain on his parade..and it was meant with sincerity ,and not sarcasm.. I told him what I did, because i was afraid the thread might get closed.

You can't hear tone of voice with text, and for some reason you think that my post was harsh...please help me understand why..?

All I'm saying is save the scolding for people who know where they should post, and what they should post.
Not newbies. We want to welcome them with open arms so they stay and not flee.

I would totally agree with you..if I felt in any way I had been scolding.. .. I was trying to warn the dude that starting a thread on this site with" this is my first post.".(one line ) might not be such a great idea.
