Ford is an excellent company. They are the only one of the big 3 that didn't take a bailout dime from Obama. And their sales are sky high, because their quality has improved so much.

And why would they build a new plant here? Obama himself chased them out by backing the NLRB and the unions with the Boeing attempt to move a plant to South Carolina. Surely you've heard of that fiasco? So tell me why they would build a new plant here, when Obama is so anti-business?

You can thank Obama for costing the US more jobs so that his fat union cronies can pig out at the public trough.

Which is really funny because we have foreign businesses investing over here in the States like wildfire. It makes me wonder why in the world American businesses are doing the opposite. Doesn't make any sense.

It makes perfect sense. They invest in profitable companies. And what makes a company profitable? Lower costs of manufacture, among other things. Like labor. Which we outsource, because our govt encourages it.

Slave labour will not be forever.

Today, slaves in india will work for $1 per DAY. You think they will do so FOREVER? Think again. What then? Ford close down? After decades? But all these are not the points.

The point is - greed will get one only so far. After that, when the scam is discovered, its over. The French Sun King Louis found that out only too late as he watched the gulliotine came screaming down rushing towards his neck. So too will these fools soon, not only by the slaves, but by consumers as they realized what a scam the Ford cars are today, a far cry from the original QUALITY ones enforced by the great Henry Ford whom left an awesome legacy for USA and its future generations.

China, the supposed greatest manufacturer in the world, is facing a frightening slump in sales of their shoddy cars, and are using socialize funds to keep their workers and biz alive despite close to NIL sales worldwide. What can one expect when slave labour is used for manufacturing? Consumers aint fools forever. Fools once, but never again, worldwide.

'Globalisation', as the greedy corporations had fooled humanity years back, will soon be dead. Enjoy Hyundai or Mazdas made with american labour in the meantime till the comming day when Ford Corp comes begging and grovelling back to US seeking for american forgiveness.

You should take some business courses. A corporations' first duty is to it's shareholders. It would be absurd for them to incur excessive costs out of a notion of altruism -- unless the shareholders want them to, of course.

Competition is met and overcome by sticking with good business practices. Prices are set by what the market will bear, so the word 'greed' isn't even in their vocabulary. That's a word for the weepy-eyed liberal arts classes.

Quality today is a far cry from the deathtraps that GM put out in the past: I give you the Pinto and the Corvair as examples. Socialism, as you seem to promote, is dead. It has never worked, never. It is a philosophy of death and decay. You want corporations to be altruistic? Ever look at a definition for altruism?

al·tru·ism
   /ˈæltruˌɪzəm/ Show Spelled[al-troo-iz-uhm] Show IPA
noun
1.
the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others ( opposed to egoism).
2.
Animal Behavior . behavior by an animal that may be to its disadvantage but that benefits others of its kind, as a warning cry that reveals the location of the caller to a predator.

A very wise woman once said: "Atruism requires suffering. It requires victims."
Think about that.

You raise a good point. Now it is time to bring up history. What is the difference between private businesses and corporations? Liability and taxation. Historically Businesses were supposed to have low tax's and unlimited liability while Corporations were supposed to have high tax's and limited liability.

Corporations used the excuse "for the benefit of the people" to get into a lower tax rate. By all rights over 60% of that profit claimed by investors belongs to society at large because the investors lied through their teethes.

And frankly society will come to the conclusion that the only businesses/corporations that should exist are those that are in business to stay in business.
