In a world of popcorn, there are many flavors to choose from. We all have that one in which we enjoy more than others, and yet we don't all cater to the same. Some of you may have been raised in a family where certain flavors were never offered, therefore you wouldn't know the joy of what these untasted flavors may bring to your senses.

Some people may like microwaved popcorn, while others enjoy the taste of kettle corn, and yet others want theirs cooked over a stove. Whatever way we decide to cook our popcorn, we are always looking for satisfaction, but at what cost? You see, if you have butter on your popcorn, it could actually cause harm. Butter is not healthy. It can eventually help to clog arteries and cause health problems, as it is nearly 50% saturated fat. So, before you eat your popcorn, make sure the ingredients do not include butter. Deny butter my friends. You may even decide that without it, you don't enjoy popcorn at all.

The economy is failing, radiation is being dispersed everywhere from Fukashima, earthquakes, hurricanes, Elenin and now butter is out to get us. The Land O' Lakes conspiracy

Huh? Deny Butter? I don't get it. Butter is not bad for you in moderate amounts and with a healthy lifestyle and exercise...in fact, it is better for you than most things. Especially for your brain and nervous system.

How about deny MSG, deny microwaves, deny GMO popcorn and deny steroid implanted beef? (:

Spoken by someone who has consumed too much butter. But, I guess for some...butter is bliss.

This is but another link in the chain of my long standing stance to deny butter.

Long live the margarine!

I would rather have heavy cream and salt then Vegetable Oil and Water as is in Margarine. To me butter tastes better as well, and before you ask, I am below (140) my ideal weight (180) and am trying to gain weight at the present time.

Deny good ingredients? No thanks, we were doing fine before the FDA told us what was bad and good for us.

Hi, I'm Brad Bradley Chaddington, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to shut your butter hating (and dare I say it TERRORIST) smear campaign thread down.
You see butter is something you can depend on, truthful, strong, proud and just.
Our boys in the forces eat butter, and so should you.
Because not eating butter is un-patriotic, Yes that's right. 4 out of 5 people agree in our extensive research polls that not eating butter is as bad, if not worse, than burning the flag.
Our butter is free from nuclear waste, resistant to all forms of bioterrorism, and definitely does NOT contain thought-control drugs.

Yours, B.B. Chaddington

Hmmm, a devout Butterist. Interesting. I suppose you believe I will fry in a vat of lard oil for my anti-butterist views?

If it were up to my deceased grandpa' he'd have OLEO. I suppose he is eating it by the tubful in heaven right now.

Edit to add: If butter is a no-no, don't eat in any nice restaurants. You'll ingest a stick or two. Please keep the sig.

This is one reason why you should prepare your own food.

But it tastes so good...

From the healthy side of the butter/religious lobby (I made that up):

The Bible has references to butter as the product of milk from the cow, and of Abraham setting butter and milk from a calf before three angels who appeared to him on the plains of Mamre.3

So, yeah, that opens up a whole bunch of churnin' - anything associated as having its origins in the Bible, well, get off it.

Eat ALL the Butter You Can Possibly Consume

Also, you are discounting the many wonderful uses of butter including:

But I still believe it's butter! How can you make me deny what my eyes and taste buds tell me?

I'll stick with butter too.

Butter is a natural saturated type of fat that is solid at room temperature. So, the result of subjecting natural vegetable oils to artificial hydrogenation is a solid and spreadable product that looks like butter (it is solid) but is not of animal origin. This new product is the well - known margarine. You might think that this is indeed a healthier option than butter just because it is of vegetable origin but I can ensure you that it?s not. Artificial hydrogenation is a very aggressive process. It requires the use of toxic chemical agents to be used along with high temperatures and pressure in order to get the final product. Margarine and fake butter types of products are toxic and cause significant inflammatory reactions in the human body.

Put this on your corn and chew it:

Organic butter is an excellent source for true vitamin A (retinal), vitamin D, vitamin K, vitamin E and protein. Vitamin A, when obtained from butter, absorbs very easily into your body. If you are lucky enough to have a source of butter from cows that only graze on green grass, you are in for consuming large amounts of vitamin A, D, K, E and protein. Translated — it's healthy to eat un-tampered-with butter.

I wonder how it tastes?

You and your no butter crowd. I see you for who you are.

Clearly you are not Canadian, for if you were, you would know that you have just committed treason and could join the shameful ranks of the banners of bacon. Butter, my friend, is a food group. Shame on you!!
