All in the name of science....

If they are going to test on them, why do they put them in such horrible conditions?

The way the chimps walk around and smile makes me wonder if we did originate from those primates?

im sure these monkeys lived longer in confinment then they would've in the wild anyway? fed , housed , security lol
If it's so bad for your own child to go through that then why should any living being have to go through it, especially highly intelligent creatures such as chimps. It's saddening and really annoys me. There should be other ways of conducting research that don't involve this animal abuse. Where the hell is the cure for HIV huh?
i know who do we think we are is the correct phrase... but if your family or child was brought up to the plate for testing .. and they asked you
would you rather a human being or a monkey ... you would easily jump on board the monkey and put him in the grinder ?

There is no freedom without control. That thought comes to mind.
Freedom is not free. Ever heard that?
This freedom we enjoy, the convenience, has a price.
The animal tests allow us to save lives. They allow us to live modern lives.
Do the innocent people in wars that die ever ask to be sacrificed in our favor?
Do extinct species ever have a choice when we consume their habitat?
Is a cop ever given a choice when a suspect aims a weapon at him?
Do the fish that we kill for food ever voluntarily give themselves to us for our nourishment?
Do dictators give us a choice when they defy reason and spread death?
What about the cattle on farms. Did we ever ask them if we could butcher them or milk them?
And, btw, the earth could only support about 100 million hunter/gatherers.
So we can't go backwards in time and live the way we used to.
There is only forward. We have a choice.
We can break all the rules and suffer and die as we try to make new ones; it's not free.
Or we can go on as we have previous. A bittersweet acceptance of life.edit on 6-9-2011 by jonnywhite because: (no reason given)

I'd suggest prisoners on death row, in fact i might even suggest your child be the one done testing on.
It sounds like you shouldn't even be breeding.edit on 6-9-2011 by Edgecrusher26 because: (no reason given)

If only the scientists involved, and more likely the big-shots above them had some idea about how it would feel to be treated this way. Set them up with a cramped little dark cage for THIRTY YEARS and see how they feel. I'd sure hope treatment would improve if they first walked a mile....
