Bill O Reilly: The Epitome Of Ignorance

I just came across this 9/11 debate between Professor Fetzer and Bill O Reilly, and I think you guys should see it for yourselves.

It begins with Bill O Reilly talking about another professor who has recently called President Bush a murderer, and thinks that Bush orchestrated 9/11 "without providing a shred of evidence", in a very condescending tone. Right off the bat, he's "poisoning the well" (as the YouTube comment below describes) by setting the stage that people believe outrageous claims like that without any evidence. His bias is nauseating.

Then the first thing O Reilly says is he's getting tired of professors who "hate their country" and bring their hatred onto a campus. :shk: There you have it, tens of thousands of viewers who are easily influenced by Bill O Reilly now believe that people who don't believe the official story hate their country.

Jim Fetzer tells him that's wrong and describes Scholars for 9/11 Truth, which consists of hundreds of experts who see crucial flaws in the official story and don't buy it.

Bill O Reilly then interrupts him and calls him a nut. He doesn't even listen to the evidence he has, he just calls him a nut. And sadly, this attitude is what millions of Americans have, many of them on this very website. O Reilly brings up his opinion that for 9/11 to be an inside job, thousands of people would have to be involved. He then compares 9/11 Truthers to people who think "space aliens kidnapped aliens".

Bill O Reilly then makes something up, and says it's Fetzers opinion. He says "So your opinion is that Bush murdered everybody on 9/11 to seize control and make him the dictator of America or whatever crazy thing it is. My opinion is you're nuts". I don't recall Jim every saying that, but hey, it's Bill O Reilly! He's stupid!

Then Bill O Reilly brings up another professor discussing this with students. Last time I checked Jim Fetzer was Jim Fetzer, not the other professor. But hey, it's Bill O Reilly!

O Reilly then says that if he had any evidence, he would be "on the front page of the New York Times in a heartbeat". Right, I'm sure the mainstream media would be all over that...but O Reilly continues to boast that he and his organization are not associated with any mainstream media outlet, therefore the claims are inaccurate. Nice logic O Reilly!

Fetzer, in his 5 seconds that Bill lets him talk before ignorantly interrupting him like the ass he is, brings up the hundreds of papers and studies that have been published and brings up that the collapse of Building 7 was a controlled demolition.

Then once again, O Reilly brags that he can't get any of this on the front page of a bunch of newspapers that he lists off. Fetzer tells him that any mainstream news outlet is too dominated by the federal government, and backs that claim up by a published paper written by Carl Bernstein in which he explains how the CIA controls CBS, Time, Life, and the NY Times, and today the situation is much worse.

By far the most valuable of these associations, according to CIA officials, have been with The New York Times, CBS, and Time Inc.

Fetzer then says that if anybody is interested in finding the truth, they should go to their website st911.org.

O Reilly then calls him crazy again, big shocker. Here's why:

"1. You hate your country", um nope he never said that or implied that.
"2. You're a loon", so a reason backing up his craziness is a synonym for the word crazy, very intelligent critical thinking O Reilly.

Then O Reilly talks about Fetzer believing that the Bush Administration are murderers who killed 3,000 Americans because he wanted to increase his power and suspend all civil liberties. "All" civil liberties is too extreme, but that's his tactic, make them look as crazy as possible by wording and skewing their arguments to make them look crazy. He then says that Bush worked in conjunction with thousands of people and the press is covering it up because they're "afraid" of the federal government.

O Reilly's rebuttal to the argument that he has restated and skewed? "Come on....why don't you just say you have a martian living in your bedroom". How does this idiot have viewers? Who are the people that watch his show?

Fetzer, with the 10 seconds he has to speak, says that they've found that the governments account is provably false on every major account, and he calls out Bill and says "he can't handle the truth", and goes off on him for saying he hates his country when he's a "former Marine Corp officer" himself, and O Reilly once again says he hates his country.

Jim Fetzer barely had any time to speak either, O Reilly just kept interrupting him with his "you hate your country" and "you're crazy" accusations. :bnghd:

Even if you think 9/11 truthers are crazy, you have to admit that O Reilly was a total douche during this entire "discussion".

O Reilly is as useless as the teets on a boar hog. He's almost as stupid as Beck but he doesn't cry when his ratings go down. He really showed his ignorance when Jeremy Glick was on his show.

There's a classic interview with Richard Dawkins where Dawkins OWNS him.. And all Bill does in repost is try to make a joke, a bad joke, to attempt to mask his ignorance.. Look it up!

Wow they tore Bill O Reilly apart in that video. If I was ever on his show for whatever reason, I would absolutely lose it because even just listening to how he constantly interrupts people and shoves words into their mouths infuriates me.

Are you kidding dude? "Believe anything he says", he didn't even get a chance to say anything! He had like 15 seconds to get his points across each time and would get interrupted before he even finished and O Reilly would just call him crazy and unpatriotic for 90 seconds.

That was not a discussion, that was pure ignorance. He clearly had no intention of having a mature discussion, he just wanted to attack 9/11 conspiracy theorists and nothing else.

I think Bill O is a douchebag, but do you honestly think that his viewers are that robotic?

I dont get Bill O reily here, but am aware of his show. I noticed a lot of spin for a show called the "no spin zone". That ought to tell you something.

People who want to feel reinforced in their own opinions and especially, their attitude, champion Bill O'reily. A lot of thought and planning goes into running the propaganda machine.

I just watched that and yeah O Reilly got destroyed. He compared science/evolution to fascism at one point I don't know how anybody can support O Reilly......

If O Reilly had a legitimate discussion with one of the members of AE911 Truth / Scholars For 9/11 Truth he would get slapped down. But with constant interruptions, accusations, and insane comparisons, there's really no getting through his thick head.
