Use harsh language.

On the other hand. The other person is unlikely to have a firearm either

A serious question for you.... what do you do when the shtf and no-one is producing your ammunition anymore?

I should say "Hi" guys, NW UK here too.

Building up my survival gear bit by bit, how do you guys rate the threat? Are we really heading for a survival situation or is it a case of "be prepared"?

I dunno to be honest. Whatever the reasons behind the riots, it taught us that it wouldnt take alot for people to panic. I guess we're kinda lucky cause we've seen how easy people lose it. Petrol 'crisis', Rioting etc

Yeah, I think it shows just how thin the veneer is and how quickly it cracks.

So, I'm curious... just how far have you fellas made plans?

I know where I'm heading, I'm getting together a survival kit and teaching myself new skills. No, I'm not paranoid as my missus keeps telling me lol

I've got my car kit which sits in my boot which could feed me for about a week. It's also got other emergency things in it, It actually really comes in useful for camping.
I've got some supplies tucked away in my house which could feed me for about 3 months. Windup radio. Backup water etc etc etc etc. Too many little essential things to list. I will do a list at some point to see what im missing. Knowledge is fairly basic but i have quite a few survival books. Was raised on a farm and i work with violent mental health patients so my negotiation skills are pretty top notch.

Great! I hope it's never needed.

I'm working my plans around leaving the car behind, I'd imagine fuel shortages weeks before it got real bad, so I'm working on getting as much stuff as small as possible so I can carry it.
I've started to collect seeds too, veg and herbs and stuff like that.

I'm thinking very seriously of ordering a longbow too, about £800 for a good one.
