Lol, I was waiting for a rock to come out of nowhere and peg one of them.

Pretty amazing footage though!

I think they're Dutch which might explain that.

I'd like to see them try that at Yellowstone after throwing a few bean burritos down it's shaft.

Was this comet Elenin's fault too?

Awesome video!!

I would have been out if there in a heartbeat. Geez, if I felt a little tremor I would probably be running.

Nature is so powerful and beautiful at the same time.

I really do love that our swear words are the universal language though.
Everyone knows what 'holy sh!t' means.

Thanks. S&F.

Explain what? That we have gigantic balls.

To bad after the eruption these guys can't shut the f up and keep the camera steady.

possible future Darwin awards recipients? I'd run instead of jumping up and down.

Yes they are dutch, and they EXPECT the eruption.

Prior to the eruption they talk about they are waiting for it to erupt.

So maybe it's like a geiser at some places, they erupt like clockwork.

My mother always said.... Don't do drugs.

Well I must admit, it is a cool video. But boy those guys got really lucky.

Truth is, running at that point would do them NO good what-so-ever. Falling rocks would fall everywhere they could run to. If there had been a pyroclastic flow they couldn't outrun it, and that's about it.

Might as well enjoy the moment if it's your last, and if it's not your last moment, you've got some CRAZY footage to show your grandchildren.

I agree that maybe it was a bad decision to "Hang out" during this little eruption but there is a lot of footage available now that would have never been seen had it not been for people like this that stick around in the face of danger to get it on film. In the case of a volcano eruption those of you who say they would run where would you go? If you are that close when it went, there really isn't anywhere TO go.
