I get the whole "If I can't debunk it, I got to consider it" (& everybody cant be fake,) But come on ATS, this is not why multiple people in my home are ATS users/loyal Fans and try to be valid contributors. I created my own account recently so I could have my own voice separate from husband and I'm going to.

This is NOT what ATS was created for. THIS is what makes real truth seekers a joke, and this is why people get tired of sifting thru the crap here to find the real tidbits of information sharing and good conversation as this site is for.

Personally this kinda junk pis*es me off. Get a life troll, and at least come up with something original if your going to write a piece of fiction instead of hijacking other people's art.

I assume most of these comments are jokes, yet I often wonder - why is it some people "wish this would happen"?

Are they looking to shoot people as a sport (so called infected or Zombies are still people, you are still pulling the trigger on a "human")? Or as some sort of "glorious cleansing"? What makes this so fun? It seems to me one step off of wanting to hunt non-infected humans. Isn't that what serial killers do now?

Suddenly, because someone is "infected" we have an excuse to "blaze away".

And why do they always think that for some, miraculous reason, they will be one of the few survivors?

I am, or, I guess I was, an employee at area 51, and it is not what you think. It is a research facility/underground city where the focus of their work is to study alien technology and lifeforms, but it was not founded because a craft crashed there, it started much earlier than that.

The government has known about the existence of aliens for over a century and has been capturing lifeforms and their crafts for a long time. My level of access is not privileged to know that information. What I do know is that the craft that crashed there that everybody knows about, was actually a craft that entered our atmosphere to recover a captured craft that we had shot down. We were holding the passengers hostage to study them and gain leverage on a race of beings that have been observing us for unknown reasons for some time.

We are considered a threat to them now and they are sending a massive war fleet known as Elenin. That's not the worst part. Our technology is not that far behind their race. We have reverse engineered their equipment and ships without much trouble, and our military, according to classified calculations, is strong enough to withstand their attack.
This race of beings knows, so they've devised a way to overcome us. They sent another ship into our airspace because they knew we would shoot it down to study as well, except no one was aboard this ship. It was something of a trojan horse if you will.

It contained a virus that, when they brought this craft to area 51, infected the base before anybody knew what was happening! The government sealed off the base and took samples of the virus from a victim. They have found that it seems to have been created from a virus similar to rabies and some DNA of unknown origin. It acts quickly, only taking a day or two for the virus to take over the host. The virus doesn't kill its host though. It keeps it alive somehow even when the body is breaking down from lack of food or water.
My guess is so that the infected individual can infect more victims before the host becomes too degraded to function anymore, and even then the body doesn't rot!!!

I got away before the base was sealed off, but I was chased. I know I'm not infected, but that doesn't matter. They want to know why I didn't get infected, and they want to autopsy me and study me!!!
I have a couple of friends in the government that have been tipping me off to keep me one step ahead of the situation, but I don't know how long this will last! There were a few infected that were thought to have escaped but it can't be confirmed because they have not been found yet.
I know at least one did, because I escaped with someone else who was infected but we didn't know.
I saw him begin to display signs of infection and I tried to knock him out and tie him up, but he knocked me out somehow and took off. He's out there somewhere and this infection will spread.

It is the most horrifying thing I've ever seen, and # is about to hit the fan!! If you see somebody acting strangely, run. Don't ask questions, just get out of there!! If the individual spews blood on you, you can consider yourself infected as well. That's how it spreads, also by scratch or bite.

There's so much truth to that. I believe we are, for the most part, tired of doing the same things we've been doing for millenniums. We might not all know it, but deep down we are ready for a change and a huge one at that.

Oh, I get that part, but that could come about via a societal crash or other sort of disaster.

I still don't get the desire to spend all day on a rooftop sniping infected people nor see it as being fun in any way.
