if our bodies were more like that of Christ's (and minds as well) ... then we would be .. in essence... liberated from slavery to our body's deficits.

I am fairly certain Weishaupt was not a Jesuit but instead studied at Jesuit schools since age seven.

So they say....(insert paranoid look) ..LOL The Jesuit order at that time was more or less a Church of Rome intelligence service...so the conspiracy theorist in me tends to wonder....I guess that makes me as guilty as some on here. However I notice his reported tactics for infiltration is very much like those the Jesuits used.....and I doubt they taught that to simply any student. he shares their tactics and in a polarized negative way their philosophy, which to me speaks that he had more then a classical education with them. The Jesuit order trained many to be informants and more or less spy, not all of their people were "official" priests.

Fair enough though you are stating the historical record......but I'd still say a Jesuit in philosophy in regards to power, honor (or lack there of) and a defining view of the ends justifies the means, and that it is okay to do "evil" if for the right reasons. That said, his education is from the Catholic Church, and his anger is with the Catholic Church, and so there is deffinately a connection to the Christian tradition.....who knows he may have very well thought of Jesus as ultimately of approving of his methods.....after all the Jesuits felt that Jesus would approve them blowing up Parliment.

Robinson reprinted it in his Proofs of a Conspiracy. His transcriptions from the Illuminati papers are usually very good. It is a letter from Spartacus to Cato. (Zwack)

i read weishaupt formed the illuminati to combat the church trying to rule over people and be the only way to god. weishaupt was about sharing knowledge and taking care of his fellow man, and doing good works.

sounds like one of the good guys to me, sorta like what that jesus guy would be about. so if jesus was the inspiration for the illuminati how is that a bad thing?

The problem with all these posts, is no one has yet to define "Illuminati". I read several replies here all with different conclusions because everyone is using a different definition. For some Freemasonry equals Illuminati (which is ignoring the true history). For some Global banking is Freemasonry. For some devil worshipers are illuminati. For most Illuminati is simply an answer for anything they do not understand. It would help if a post defined what they mean when they use that term.

The OP quotes from letters by the leader of the Bavarian Illuminati. There are a few people who call the ruling plutocrats Illuminati, but their modern structure, even their ideologies have little in common with the Bavarian Illuminati. (I doubt the Rothchilds and Rockefellers of this world take orders from 'Unknown Superiors', nor to they reject governments or seek anarchy)

Like any thread with 'Jesus' in the title, it attracts its share of religious nutters.

A lot of posters in this thread seem to ignore that Weishaupt was an atheist. (He might have flirted with deism at times). He didn't believe in divine intervention. When he mentions Jesus, he is not talking about the son of a deity and he certainly did not think of Jesus as a deity himself. He is talking about a man.

A new Illuminatus would not rise above the Illuminati's Masonic levels if the higher ups noticed a firm belief in Christianity. He would be "sta bene", meaning he could not go any higher in the Order. (With some exceptions, I'm sure)

These are secret societies. No one has penetrated in them in high levels to get useful information.

They are like a black box. They send something out (show a behavior) and we try to guess what is in the box. As I started studying history about them I founf some weak connections between Pharon Empire in Egypt , Solomon the prophet (the king in freemasonry) , growing science and civilization in that period of time in Egypt , Sons of Israel (Jacob , Yaghub).

It seems to be much connected to worshiping old idols like Baphomet , Molech (The owl in Bohemian groove ) and etc.

If you'd done even the tiniest amount of actual research, you'd have quickly discovered that Molech is portrayed by a bull, not an owl. The owl is most often associated with Minerva, one of the aspects of wisdom.

Then again, if you continue to consider vigilantcitizen.com a reliable source, you're bound to get important details like that wrong.
