i think they mean "There is no brown dwarf in the solar system"

new brown dwarf found
it is 9 light years not 9 au.

our solar system,,,
milky way galaxy,,
our solar system,,
is less than 25 million light years to the centre,, from the sun,,,8 light years away maybe seeing
9 light years away is not in our solar ststem,
but it is in our galaxy.
or some kind of reasoning,,
one can never tell.
they are so much higher,,intelligence than me,,anyway.

This is ridiculous! Bluecoat2, who says that he works for a top-secret space force run by the U.S. government, just told people that Elenin would be emitting something that would be of interest to HAM radio operators.

Q&A from Naval Command

This was mentioned in another top ATS thread.

"So why are you telling us this? What can we benefit from what you know? Just tell us what you obviously want to tell, but are afraid to...

go look up e class asteroids. also look up the ESA's rosetta mission to steins. where magically the high res cameras just happened to fail. and there is your answer. sorry i can't be more direct. but this one [elenin] is a bit more operational and is talking. someone savvy will be able to 'hear' it pretty soon. there will be no denying that history isn't what we've been told. but much more interesting. no doom. just something pretty neat coming. i have said enough.

Seems the only source for this is starviewerteam.org... the people they credit with the finding of this
USC California Radio Telescope does not mention it at all any where. So I guess if you have reason to believe starviewteam that would be the only reason to take this seriously.

Does anyone recall there was some sort of encrypted sound file and the password was in some sound file. When you put the sound file in a certain program and filtered out certain frequencies a phrase or some kind of word visually comes out of the EQ graph. I'm sorry about not being very specific, but I am vaguely remembering all of this. My point is maybe those techniques can be applied here.

If there was a frequency to tune into or find - you could use a virtual Ham Radio Software Transceiver and we all could check it out -

well actually i was thinking this,,

"Gliese 581 is among the closest stars to us, just 20.5 light years away (about 120 trillion miles) in the constellation Libra. It is so dim it can be seen only with a good telescope.

Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk..."

just 20.5 light years away ??????????????????????????

9 light years not considered to be in our galaxy,,opps solar system?

Which is kinda stupid..

Well because according to Phage there is no RF being picked up from the comet (despite him saying it's possible in one of his posts)

Trying to get him to admit to being wrong about who run Allen is important, because his first reason for debunking this thread is that the team responsable were wrong once. Phage being proven to be wrong in this thread therefore, by his own strange logic, completely disproves his arguament

I'd say we just wait. If RF has been picked up from the comet, then either the USC or Berkely (I'm guessing Berkely since they run the scopes - despite phages repeated insistance that they don't) are analising it at present.
So it's just a waiting game, but since comets do emit RF sometimes, and in the same time frame that this story came out it was student week at CARMA, you really would imagine its not outside the realms of possiblity that they have been intercepted.

Phage, right off the bat says it's all fake because he doesn't like the messenger, and then because Allen is off line (despite it not being theirs), and then for some reason repeatedly insisting that Berkely don't run Allen (despite his cited source saying so), before logging off for a few hours and waiting for someone to make a stupid comment confusing light years with something else so he can jump back in and look superior...

AND you say it's stupid to ever question the man? Great way to deny ignorance!
If we're not meant to disagree with Phage, surely ALL posts on ATS would end after he gets his word in...

and then there is this

"The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute uses radio telescopes to try to pick up messages sent by alien civilisations.

Interestingly, Gliese 581c is so close to the Earth that if its putative inhabitants only had our level of technology, they could - just about - pick up some of our radio signals, such as the most powerful military transmitters. Quite what would happen if we for our part did receive a signal is unclear.

"There is a protocol, buried away in the United Nations," says Dr Shostak. "The President would be told first, after the signal was confirmed by other observatories. But we couldn't keep such a discovery secret."

Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk...

"uses radio telescopes to try to pick up messages"

uses radio telescopes to pick up ir ,,,
never mind the ,,pick up messages,,
so why cut funding in April,,,
only too have too beg for money too keep going,,
why??

"is so close to the Earth that if its putative inhabitants only had our level of technology, "

sometimes ya gotta laugh,, but no ,,there are no men from Gliese 581c,,
stay on track,,,lol

Or perhaps the fact that it's still being analised and a comet releasing radio waves as it breaks up isn't all that amazing really.

You people are too gullible, you'll admit to one part of the conspiracy theory (that this comet is producing RF signals) but you don't explain the other part ( where we have technology to transcend the stars in a blink of an eye)..

What ever happened to the 2 satellites orbiting Elenin?
Were they the mystery objects that crashed rescently in Peru & Oklahoma?

Apparently from looking at the original thread there is a frequency mentioned.

you need to monitor 170.20 MHZ and I prefer to use the word extra-terrestrial

which is also the US federal disaster frequency isn't it?

science.hq.nasa.gov...
"Objects in space, such as planets and comets, giant clouds of gas and dust, and stars and galaxies, emit light at many different wavelengths. Some of the light they emit has very large wavelengths - sometimes as long as a mile!. These long waves are in the radio region of the electromagnetic spectrum. "

So quick to try to prove someone wrong

if you would finish my post you will notice I was referring to the conspiracy theory that a Naval officer visited comet Elenin. I was implying people only accept one part of it (the small fact) and disregard the crazy part, so if you don't believe in said conspiracy then im pretty sure my statement bares no meaning to you.

It was directed at me when I posted that, and you know it was

I removed the barb from the post once you did the same though lol

====> "the conspiracy theory (that this comet is producing RF signals)"

It's not a conspiracy theory if its true is it?

I'm just choosing to believe that there is a grain of truth to this story, rather than assuming it must all be lies.

Imagine you're bang into UFO's but don't do science. One of your friends whos at Berkely tells you that his class intercepted radfio frequencies off Comet Elenin and are researching them at the moment, you blow your lid and go all out making a youtube video and get 2 facts wrong. ... Oh well it must ALL BE LIES!

That's my main problem here, the assumption that it must all be fake because 2 details were wrong.

Seeing people try and debunk, when the topic is "Is Elenin giving off a strange RF signal?" is so stupid its unbelievable.

OFCOURSE its giving off a strange RF frequency, comets do anyway and its breaking up!

Take a look at the edit of my post as well before you get your knickers in a twist

And how is posting a link proving you wrong flaming?
Trust me, you'd know when you've been flamed, I used to do it professionally (you'd be surprised what comapnies pay people to do online lol)
