Getting over my stage fright... Ok... Here we go...

Hello everybody @ ATS! After many, many years of being the regular lurker (and a 'silent' member for the last few), after having read you all for so long, having laughed out loud, cried, gotten angry or saddened; after having smiled and having had my day made too many times to count by so many of you, I decided it was about time I would get over my hesitations and whatnot and introduce myself. So, here I am. Nice to meet you all.

I really don't know what the protocol is for an introductory thread, but I guess I should tell you a little about me: I am a twenty-something years old girl from Venezuela, who loves wine and has been interested in the 'alternative' topics ever since she can remember. It was that curiosity and yearning for knowledge which brought me here to this site, after having lurked every other alternative site in existence. Since then, and like I said above, it's been a true learning experience, even from the sidelines: you have opened my eyes to many new concepts and ideas, have helped me see things from different angles; but more important, have given me comfort in the realization that, no matter how far we may be from each-other or how different our backgrounds and beliefs are, there will always be people like us that will always question, never settle; that will always challenge the status-quo, always stand by their principles, always seek the truth.

So I would sincerely like to thank you all for all the knowledge and time and effort you put into this site. Each and every single one of you has made it what it is. So two big thumbs up!

And I better go now before I make a bigger fool of myself!

Love the intro The hardest lesson for me to learn on ATS is not to let the trolls get to you . Other then that this place is great.
