Call me mean, but I wish to God that the roof of Glenn's house is blown away and he takes lots of "blessing" from the elements, up his proverbial.

Seriously people, it's time to call a nut a nut.

The article says it's a blessing that we should be reminded to prepare, Not that death and destruction is a blessing. Did you read the article? It's only two small paragraphs.

I agree he sticks his foot in his mouth often but it is just to get attention from people who like to twist his words because they don't agree with his politics

The only way I can see Irene as a blessing is if it does rip the roof off of that idiots house and scares him into quitting his job to enjoy life as a decent human being.

I'll always insist Glenn wasn't always a nut. He had a wonderful radio show long before CNN signed him. Having said that, you're right. He's gone and caught that train to Crazy Town he always used to refer to. Sad to watch, actually.

I believe he's a living example of what happens when one goes too far down the rabbit hole without keeping perspective.

Maybe the fact that the Zionists didn't want his crazy ass in Israel drove him over the edge? Glenn has some of the pieces to the puzzle but there is no way in hell he will ever be able to put them together the right way. The best thing for him to do is fade away, retire to his mansion and stop bothering people with his insanity. Glenn is a Mormon, that preaches to evangelicals and somehow thinks the Jews are going to welcome him with open arms?? He needs a history lesson and he needs to face reality on these religious matters, he seems to want to make his own reality and its not working out the way he'd like it to.

God sends messages thru storms and earthquakes according to Glenn Beck.

Does he also send messages thru flattires, broken shoestrings, and unfaithful wives?

Glen must have an interest in the companies that sell store-able food to the SHTF devotees.

He may be BAT**** crazy but he's not stupid.

Puh-leeze. I did read the article. He says that it's good to be reminded that you are not in control. The instrument of this reminder needs to be pretty drastic and I presume that Beck meant a modicum of death and destruction -- that's exactly what we are experiencing now.

Again, I wish lots of blessings on Glenn's house.

This is an entirely unbalanced thread. I guess I have to chime in on Beck's side--and believe me, I'm no fan of Glenn Beck.

However, if you'll read the article, and take the statement in its context, he's made a perfectly reasonable statement.

I just want to point out one more time that the catchphrase for this site is "Deny Ignorance." Knee-jerk reactionism is *not* denying ignorance, whether you're Glenn Beck or a poster on this site....

In the past I have defended GB, that time has come to an end, this man is not only delusional, I now believe he has crossed the line and is dangerous for the country, he reminds me more of a cult leader than an American or even a Republican and truly don't even know if he understands the difference between reality and his own ego at this point.

Those statements, well, all I can say................. You egotistical son of a bitch, if he was standing in front of me, Id probably spit on him........

Seems to me he is just trying to get people to store food. Seems logical to me with all the weather anomalies around the world. Massive amounts of crops are ruined. The Ranchers are slaughtering all their animals in the drought areas and there will be a shortage and a huge price increase next year. Vegetables will skyrocket shortly.

Exactly how stupid is it to not store some food away? Pretty dumb I think.

Sometimes you have to look past irrational hatred to be able to see. This guy does not even have a show now unless you subscribe. Staying after him knowing that is reaching the point of fanaticism is it not?

I've never seen his stuff nearly as nutty as what we read here. Sorry but food storage is a good idea. So is laying some cash and resources aside.

He's not running for office. His show is subscription only. He's off the air on TV. The only way you can hear him on radio is if you purposely turn to the right station at the right time. You don't believe in Free Speech do you.
You don't believe in Freedom of Religion either, do you.

I don't listen to Beck or particularly like him either, but this insanity of everyone trying to silence everyone else scares me. Read a history book or three and you will understand why. I suggest you study Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Hitler to start. Pay attention to how they used divide and conquer to take complete control with the blessings of their people at first. The same scenario is being played out here and now. What do you think all this hate being pushed onto us is about? You're being used.

I'll give you credit for drawing your own conclusions, but unfortunately you missed the point. He's labeling the hurricane and earthquake catalysts on preparedness. Nothing more than preaching awareness...

On of the very reasons Mr. Beck is so scary is because he is one of the very people that is instrumental in the divide and conquer scenario; just like Rush, Savage, Ingraham, OReilly, Levin, Hewitt, Authur, Coulter etc. He demonizes everyone that doesn't agree with him just like a cult leader.
Do you think the devotees of Mr. Beck are being used? I do......
When it comes from the left it's "divide and conquer" but from the right it's divine guidance. Hypocrites.....

Don't let your ideology get in the way of your common sense!

It may seem to you this way. But that's a side message. "Blessing from God" is a highly cultist construct, don't you think? There are other ways to promote preparedness other than being grateful for death and destruction.

I do have a food bank and a week's worth supply of potable water in my basement at all times. Many people I know do as well, We don't need advice from a prick like Beck to do normal things we do anyhow.

Who are Becks devotes? And how are they being used? Because they listen to his opinions? I think almost anybody that is a fan of Beck can make up his or her mind for themselves. In your post you imply that Beck is scary and instrumental in a divide and conquer scenario. You also describe him as being just like a cult leader and that he is using devotees for some nefarious purpose, but then you also say that he demonizes people that he disagrees with which is exactly what your entire post is. You demonizing him because you disagree.

i guess we just have different ideas of blessing.

to me a blessing would be if all those people had already been prepared before they even knew of a storm. not waited until a freak hurricane was at their doorstep.

"it is such a blessing that we had all these supplies when the storm hit, thank you Lord"

as opposed to

"OMG RUN TO THE STORE IRENE IS COMING!!!!"

did Noah wait until there was a flood to build the ark?

would you call the flood his blessing?
or his advanced warning of it?

Let me clarify for everyone without common sense that a hurricane is not a blessing.
With that said, being prepared for a disaster is not a bad idea. Sh*t happens and often does.
It does not have to be a Zombie Apocalypse or the end of the world scenario.

But if your prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse, those preparations will surely get you through a storm.

It will be a blessing if the storm passes and nobody is killed, which is likely and that it actually convinces some people to be prepared for next time. Which is exactly what Glenn Beck wants.

i think that is looking at the glass extremely half full.

in my opinion this is not a blessing but an embarrassment that illustrates how massively unprepared we are as a whole

and in reality as soon as it blows over, they wont give it another thought until the television instructs them to.
