we just take for granted, that what scientists and geologists tell us about the earths interior and what its comprised of,as being the only truth.when in reality "no one has ever gone down there" so we really do not know.the deepest cave exploration by any person is not even two miles down! the deepest hole ever drilled is only 7.5 miles! and keeping those facts in mind, understand that from the earths surface to the core,is around 4,000 miles! and scientists sending radar beams or sound waves into the earth is in no way proof to me about what might really be down there beneath us....the deepest cave exploration >>>science.nationalgeographic.com... and the deepest hole ever drilled >>> en.wikipedia.org...

The Earth isn't Hollow if that's what you're implying, and I'll take this graph over any crazy theory any-day...

unless that crazy theory has better proof.

i do not believe the whole earth is hollow, but i believe there may be some hollow pockets in the crust.

when we fully know whats in our thickest jungles, i may devote more effort into this subject.

While I wholeheartedly embrace this positivist approach to knowledge, I have to charge that, without a counter-theory or some particular reason to doubt the established scientific theories on the topic, I fail to see how this type of discussion could be fruitful.

The knowledge we do possess is based on what we know about the formation of the earth and on calculations based on seismic waves and whatnot. There are a few other sources of information as well, but I believe that these first two are our primary sources of information. Do you have any particular issue with them?

And if they are false, what do YOU think is down there and why?

How weird...or ok...just weird. When I was a child...I'm in my 40's now, we built a camp at a lake. My uncle dug out the hole for the septic....I always had nightmares that there were "mole" men that lived in the hole. I told my siblings and then they made a game of it...as in an actual game like hide and seek. Weird huh! I've never seen that episode or didn't know anyone even thought up....mole men! LOL.

The Earth is definitely not hollow dude, the entire planet would just collapse in on itself! Lol

we owe our very existence to the protection provided to us by the magnetic field that shields us from cosmic and solar radiation.

you know, the magnetic field generated by the earths core.

the solid core that's like really heavey and dense and stuff

I guess the idea of mole men and people living underground has been in popular culture for a while.

"anything" might be down there,we've only penetrated a fraction of a fraction of the total distance of 4,000 miles from the surface to the core...NOBODY "REALLY" KNOWS...

Sure we do. The Morlocks are down there. That's why so many people disappear each year without a trace.

Seriously though, the earth wouldn't need to be hollow to have a whole civilization(albeit small) living under us.
The real question, is what is the probability of that being the case. Archaeologists have found underground abodes large enough for quite a few people to live in. The indians certainly believe in a race of people that lived or live underground.

The Indians that live near Marcahuasi still believe there is an entrance there to the underworld, and say a whole race of people still live there. But if you go there, you never come back out.

yeah maybe ^^^ but the "core" is 4,000 miles down and in between the core and the surface are thousands of miles deep of "unexplored" territory...

i didnt say it is hollow, some parts might be hollow or tunneled, i dont know?...theres more unexplored areas beneath our feet per square mile ,than the whole surface of the earth...
