Thought this might interest you.

Looking for when the troops were met at the beach by the US media. I think it Somalia.

Not kidding. I remember watching it.

Again. Can you provide a link to the Al Jazeera clip in question or not? We can't judge the validity on this claim based on a tiny screen cap. Thanks.

Nothing in that entire picture gives proof positive of it being the exact point in the city.

You know your wrong, you don't want to admit it? Ok. That's off topic. But it's there, for all the viewers to see.

Now if you want to walk along and assume the moon landing was a hoax, when in reality, even the Germans in WW2 probably could have pulled it off if they dedicated 3 years of research to it, then be my guest. Meanwhile in reality, real men and women spent a decade having the stress of the death of a president and looming global nuclear annihilation, and a huge war, actually doing real things with their lives, such as getting a man to the moon. Now if you want to go and say that nationally organized efforts over nearly a decade resulted in Nasa saying "aw f*ck it, let's just do it in the desert", be my guest. i'll be more than happy to see your proof.

I guess you're right, NATO is a peace loving organisation.

That entire clip, in actuality, has never been proven to actually be faked. And if you watch it, there's really no proof it is.

ah, and cue the strawman fallacy. Yes, because we landed on the moon, Nato is a peace loving organization.

Great logic there!

Gill Scott Heron is being proved wrong. The revolution will be televised. I have to wonder are they trying to numb us to the concept of revolution by serving it up 'a la hollywood', having instigated a minor revolt.

It seems they want us to believe it's not only willed by the people but enacted by them too. Meanwhile it is probably US/NATO really effecting a revolution. The kind of excuses proffered for the Iraq and Afghanistan engagements are spent. The new excuse is, "They're doing it themselves, we need to help them"

Once Gaddafi is out of the way, the oil companies are going to have themselves a field day in Libya, because you can bet they'll have a hand picked puppet in to run the show. Libyans should take a long hard look at Nigeria if they want to know whgat's in store for them, I reckon.

Actually, there was a lot of footage of a lot of people just nonchalanting around during the looting of the compound, News lady was freaked, while the looters just chilled there doing nothing. I would imagine that being similar. I mean, people in war zones don't tend to care much when guns go off miles away until, of course, one hits them.
edit on 25-8-2011 by Gorman91 because: le spelling

As to the shots. Yes, they would sound similar. It's called a gun. It sounds the same every shot.

I don't have Photoshop. But there's no need for it anyway, as there are plenty of photos of this part of Green Square available in correct resolution.

PS: Palm trees take a little longer to grow than cars.

Eh ?

I thought the issue was that there are no palm trees in the Al-Jazeera footage, but there are some in other photographs. The picture at the bottom is ancient, so the trees being there at that time is no indication that they should be there now.

I thought the celebration I saw on the news the other night looked fake as can be. They had the look of a ragtag bunch of actorsand the reporter had no fear with gunfire going on all around him. How stupid do they think we are? This is getting so out of hand......!

Hi! first off, i literally just signed upto ATS (have been lurking for months) because of this excellent thread. I feel like i have to thank you personally for putting this together.... So many thanks

I was also wondering about the BBC footage which shows the indian flag being waved. Does anyone know if there has been an official response from the BBC, such as a public apology? Usually when they get things wrong, they put out an official statement.

It would be unusual if they didn't...

News does this ALL the time. The worst offender is Fox which uses crowd shots from. sometimes, years ago and pretends it is now. They did that often with the WI protests. What's your point?

Yeaa no. The sound changes because when you go away further (fast moving car) it becomes softer, ..
like explaining something to a child.

Or, I could just use some common sense and say that no news station would give a damn enough to go to these lengths when they could just not report it at all. I mean technically the first media source to support Ron Paul would probably rake in hundreds of millions in viewer and advertisement money.

Fact is fact. [color=limegreen]People don't go out of their way to report unimportant news, and Libya is unimportant, compared to the growing cries of revolution in India, China, and America.
edit on 25-8-2011 by Gorman91 because: (no reason given)

Wheeew!

The news agencies are paid by advertisers.

The big advertisers have agencies that dictate content of programming.

The news companies are owned by huge corporations.

They all make money from news productions.

And SAY WHAT ?

"Libya is unimportant" ????
Then WHY ARE they "going to these lengths" ????

?? Ron Paul has absolutely nothing to do with these faked-up videos !!!
??

Libya IS important to these guys !!!

Maybe for some things. Not a bullet. Certain things affect air differently. And a shot is a shot. It's a pinhole puncture through the atmosphere, not a train, nor a person talking.

Incredibly well put-together article and an absolute eye opener! Kudos for giving us all insight towards MSM's ongoing manipulations and distortions. "Wag the Dog" wasn't kidding!

Me and my brotherwere discussing this today and he said its like a film and he reckons that they bombed hell out of lybia and practicly blew it of the face of the earth, we noticed some of the same things also rebel troops just randomly firing at nothing seems like they making a film for the sheep to swollow.

Amazin post wish I had the time and skill to do this.

No. It's not. Just because everyone you mentioned thinks its important, doesn't make it true. There is a huge contradiction in what you wrote. It's important to them. Not to us. And no matter how many times they show it, I am not interested, nor are many. thus, I the viewer, turning them off, losses them money.

I'll be honest. I completely ignored the Libyan thing up till they took this city. And why did I suddenly pay attention?

Because I saw this guy and laughed. Not because I thought Libya was important. See how the News lady tries to make it serious, but not even the rebels are serious? It don't matter, no matter how much you say it is. Not even the people fighting are taking this seriously. EVERY scene I've seen with rebels in it, they all act like "da boys from Jersey Shore". Simply put, this is not a serious series of events.

And again, using exorbitant amount of smileys just makes you look silly when you're proven wrong.
