Mods, I believe this is in the right forum if not please move it.. Thank You
Hey guys, I'm interested to see if any one of you guys have experienced the Sensory Deprivation Tank. I personally haven't myself but it sounds absolutely amazing.. I happen to come across a few videos with Joe Rogan, talking about his experiences in the tank and how it is responsible for 90% of his thoughts. He claims that when getting into a state of "nothingness" he is able to look over the problems in his life and what he can do to solve them. You guys probably know Joe from shows like Fear Factor, and calling UFC fights but this guy is not just another tool in the shed. So what are your guys' experiences with this if any, and would you ever consider trying it??

Awesome, I've always wanted to try one, but I freak out just watching those dudes in nature documentaries that go cave exploring under water, into nooks and crannies and SQUEEZING through long areas literally having to drag themselves, miles and miles under ground, in complete darkness, stuck between two unforgiving slices of Earth... suffocating, the urge to resist and struggle, growing... I'd panic in a minute and die lol.

and NOW if I ever get the chance to use a sensory deprivation tank, all I'll be thinking of since you rekon it's claustrophobic, is being trapped in an underwater cavern miles below the earths surface. lol yay

You dont need to be fully in a deprivation tank.

Ganzfeld Experiment

And with that name Ganzfeld you can find the method to do it. Its not hard either!
Cover your eyes with an opaque surface, make sure you cant see anything (even your nose), pop on stereo headphones with white noise. And within a few minutes your mind starts to create its own reality. Put on gloves to take away the feel of your hands and it's even faster

Its safe, you can pull yourself out whenever you want. I tested it once but not correctly, but i did see some things starting to form. Need a better mask. Red light is always good to.

Not the full blown sensory deprivation, but doesnt involve being in a closed box.

Trouble with cave divers is they put themselves in that situation and they have to fight to get out hence the excitment the fear factors, a sensory deprivation tank you know all you have to do is lift the lid and get out if you start to feel uncomfortable.

I myself would love to try one but theres not that many in London.

An uncle of mine in Boston ma happened to be Joe rogans tiekwando teacher, my uncle also has much to say from the sensory deprivation tank and what It can bring To your awareness, I am personally awaiting my chance to try it but from conversations with my uncle , whom is still in close contact with rogan, it is unlike any other experience. Il elaborate more once I have experienced the sdt to myself.
