What have I learned from ATS? Depends on what forum I'm in. I spend most of my time in Ancient & Lost Civilizations.

If this is your forte, then why not stick around there. The argument that you come for the fellowship, no longer holds water. There are not many folks left here.

What have I learned from life? Most people can't resist poking around a "mystery". There are as many opinions of what being "enlightened" means as there are stars in the sky (Record is a good example of that also). That a lot of people can't stand to hear an opinion different than their own. That anyone different from the "herd" will be attacked for that difference. That it's really hard to have a debate without it deteriorating into an argument.

It appears with this paragraph, you have made a sound argument, to go against what you are preaching! Just as YOU are entitled to YOUR opinion, so is EVERYONE who has congregated here. If Open thinks he/she/them has found something, WHO ARE YOU TO SAY IT IS WRONG??? ARE YOU NOW THE ALL KNOWING AND ALL SEEING??? I didn't get that memo! Folks who are on the Record, are there because THEY CHOOSE to be. Just as you are arguing your right to stay on this particular thread. Yes I'm still occasionally lurking here (waves hello to everyone.) I had my first astral projection/OBE last week. It did not go all that well. I wasn't trying or anything, it just happened.

Interesting! What happened in your OBE? I have had 3 now in my life, and my first one was the scariest and most enlightening things to happen to me in my life. Now when I get close, it is a completely peaceful feeling, the fear is gone. How did you feel?

I don't know if OBE is the right term or not. Here's what happened: I was drifting off to sleep, and I got sleep paralysis. That's happened before. But this time, it felt like someone was pulling me out of my body, and it hurt. I panicked because I thought I couldn't breathe and was confused about what was going on. My arm got free somehow and I whacked my husband in the face, waking him up. By now I am also fully awake, pondering WTF just happened?

I get up, go to the bathroom, settle back into bed. Takes me awhile to get back to sleep. And it happens AGAIN. But this time, (and yes I'm completely lucid), I relax into it all, and don't fight it. And I am pulled out of my paralyzed body -- first my arms, then my chest, and lastly my head, which hurt (physically hurt) like a beeyotch....

Next thing I know, I'm outside on my street. It's nighttime and I see whomever it was who'd pulled me out of my body, floating high up in the sky. I'm lucid and I know it's a dream or whatever so I decide I am going to fly. Easy as can be, right? Just aim and launch myself like superman... so I launch myself up into the air... and I'm flying and thinking "cool, I'm flying down my street!" ... and next thing you know ... whack! I fly right into the telephone wires!

I land back on the ground on my butt. I am laughing at myself for being such a lousy flyer. Then I practiced for awhile, keeping myself only a few feet above the ground, flying up and down the street. Then I went back in, got back in my body, woke up. Stayed up for a little bit before going back to bed again; it did not happen a third time.

Next day, hubby and I re talking about how I whacked him in the face in the middle of the night. I tell him all of this. He turns ghost white, and says, "Do you realize that there's a truck outside the house right now? Apparently the telephone wire came down last night...."

As I said, I was not trying to do this. It was completely spontaneous, and instigated not by me, by somebody else who was trying to pull me out of my body.

I just wanted to wish everyone well. I leave this thread. If Christmas is your thing then Merry Christmas, and if not then Happy Solstice.

After having re-read a moderators message, I realise I have been as guilty as anyone in polluting this thread with music videos (while trying to remain on topic with the music) but it is undesirable. I don't see any changes on the oct28 site anymore and feel I can't contribute anything meaningful here anymore so I would like to thank you all and say goodbye.
