Opinions can be dangerous a lot of bad things happen just for having an opinion just look at the holocaust or the crusades for some major examples.

But relating to this site you saw the lines being drawn between groups to keep them together would have been a very unstable "family" as you used to call it.

I think we figured the game out a long time ago. I think they want the thread closed because they feel they can. Some people just need to feel powerful any way they can. (aka, staring in a mirror gives you "special" knowledge)

Eh, if they close this one down, maybe we can start a 10/28 refugee thread! I've really enjoyed the knowledge, music and companionship shared here.

Sorry haven't been on the forum for a while as have a lot going on.
It had become so quiet and then suddenly all this and I am totally lost.

Can anyone explain what is going on?

I might just have to write a Stunion Report on the effect of the full moon on threads that start approaching a count of 1000.

It's a well known fact (according to a paper by Prof Bud HA Trance on the Gravitational Pull of the Moon on Thread approaching 1000) that a November full moon has a direct effect on threads approaching a count of 1000 as the anticipation of Christmas presents, combined with the excitement of maybe being the 1000th poster can lead to paranoia, hyperactive behaviour, identity confusion and bogus claims.

In addition a momentum of fear begins to build that all is doomed and that the thread will end on or before Post 1000. This is commonly known by Forumocologists as Apocalyptic Thread Anxiety Syndrome and breeds conspiracy theories that sense that there is someone out to get the thread.

An example of this delusional syndrome is shown here in the comments made on CMM by an insider from one such thread who didn't want to be identified. They claimed: "I believe that Molimo is Silent Walker and is staging a protracted argument with his/herself in order to hit the 1000 spot."

In a furious outburst Molimo strongly refuted this claim and stated categorically: "This is ridiculous! I am me and I can prove it by looking in the mirror!" Silent W was equally outraged and also categorically stated: "I am me too and I have my own mirror."

The said mirror is currently being forensically examined for evidence of both claims by a Thread 1000 swat team.

Meanwhile the camp at Occupy the Furniture had a group meeting and decided to bring the stereo and you tube mixer in behind the sofa and to continue the party there. Those wanting to join them will find a secure access passage under the coffee table.
