Glass Dome Over Crater on Moon

Below is a youtube video of an object found in one of the craters of the moon. It looks artificial to me. What do you think?

I watched the vid and checked out the images and I am not seeing it. Help me out?

Maybe there isn't a dome there...

Neat Images.

I can see why it would be considered to be a dome and it certainly looks different to other craters but I can't help but think that it may be an optical illusion.

Untill we get a closer image from another angle who knows but thanks for the share.

Well, either you forgot to wear your eyeglasses or your monitor doesn't have good resolution.

Seriously, look at the craters. One of them is covered by something.

Looks very fake but thanks for bringing it up.

Kinda hard to believe things in video nowadays.

I would venture to say that it is an optical illusion of some sort. There's absolutely nothing wrong with my resolution and my contacts, I assure you, are in fantastic condition.

eta, nm should have taken a look at the linked pictures.

As others have said, it looks like an optical illusion to me.

Seems like it has something to do with shadows, and the angle of the lighting. Don't really know though... Never been there to look for myself, so I suppose anything is possible.

Turn the picture 180° an it looks quite normal, for me.

Edit: I admit, turn the image 90° clockwise and its easier to look at it. Looks like something is covering the crater indeed. It reminds me of Lears story about atmosphere in low craters.

People nowadays cannot distinguish a joke. Did you see the very big smiling face after the sentence? It means what I said was a joke.

or it's just the glass bottom of an impact crater, high heat, and pressure can turn sand into glass.

Hey Phage, do you think the shape of the crater floor is due to ejecta falling back into the hole, or the surface rebounding (for want of a better word) immediately after the impact?

It look more to me like the basalt melted by the impact flowed and resolidified
