Hello fellow ATS members & guest's. I thought it would be a very eye & mind opening expereince to get some feed back about America, from those members & guest's that are not from the United States of America.

I have some specific topics for you to cover if you wish. I do this because I as an American, have zero idea about how the rest of the world thinks about me/us. Our mainstream media tells us nothing. I want to hear it straight from the source. Undiluted. Good & Bad.

This maybe the wrong forum. But I saw none other that fit the bill. I also do this thread as a selfish act..... When I was young. I was a proud American. I was proud to be who I was. Fast forward 30 odd years and I am sad to say, I am not a proud American. It's been so long since America did anything for me to be proud of.

My America was hi-jacked some time ago, corps, politicians. I just want to know if it's as bad as I feel it is. I used to be a proud southern American. Now,I'm just a proud southerner, Thank you all inadvance.....

(1) How do you feel about America's wars/occupations ?

(2) What do you think is the real story of 911 is?

(3) Do you trust American Government ?

(4) What's your opinion of America's relationship with Israel ?

(5) What is your opinion of American's in general ?

(6) Do you fear America ?

So there you go. If you would just maybe let us know where your from. Me, I'm from N.C. in the beautiful southern U.S. I myself love everybody & every thing, for life is to short to just hate all the time. Peace.

If this is the wrong forum, will somebody let me know?

(1) I feel that they are overstepping their bounds in trying to police the world and get the rest of the world to agree and accept their ideals.

(2) I don't believe that it was holograms, missiles, aliens, but, there are some odd coincidences and I believe that even if the government had nothing to do with it, it sure helped their agenda.

(3) Who trusts their government? How could you trust a government that has lied to its population to enter wars?

(4) No opinion.

(5) I have met some really nice US citizens, but, the media gives the attention to the wrong ones, making the US seem like they are all Yosemite Sam waiting to kill you or take your country.

(6) I have nothing to fear...not yet anyways. All my country has is the most fresh water...once oil is done being fought over, then I will be worried.

I am Canadian.

Is this thread a joke or a troll?

95% of human beings outside America hate our guts and can't wait for us to fall one way or another. They hate our wars, our trashy media and plastic culture, our insatiable greed and smugness.

Can't say I blame them, really.

Thanks for the input. Glad to see Winnipeg get a team back. I thought for awhile there America was going to take them all. Big Canes fan here. Would love to see the cup go to a Canadian team. I've never got to see that in my time being a fan.

Yah, its a shame they went with a new logo though.
Happy to give you my thoughts. Is this for a paper or just your own curiousity?

I'm from the UK.

(1) How do you feel about America's wars/occupations ?
No different from anyone elses wars or occupations. TPTB seem to be about what they can get out of the situation. Every single time. They just re-hash it each time, with some new marketing strategy.. like ''the fight against terrorism'' That sentence should be trade-marked..

(2) What do you think is the real story of 911 is?
I've not delved into the conspiracy theories enough to have any definite opinions.
I think they knew it was only a matter of time, before a massive attack like 9/11.
I would even go as far as saying that they had a rough date/place where it would happen.
It was 'useful' (I know how terrible that sounds) in as much as the 'threat of terrorism' became the focus, and allowed TPTB to introduce new policies, that pre 9/11 would have been questioned to a higher degree.

(3) Do you trust American Government ?
I don't trust any government. No politician speaks for me.
Unfortunately they are one of, if not THE, most powerful government on earth. Which is terrifying when you really think about it.

(4) What's your opinion of America's relationship with Israel ?
I don't really have an opinion.

(5) What is your opinion of American's in general ?
Americans are the same as everyone else. They just live in a different country and therefore have their own set of problems. I don't stereotype people.
In a way, I admire the patriotism, over here people only support their country in things like football. There are a few acts of compassion, and bravery, but on the whole it's mostly disinterest.
The way Americans celebrate their country, and their achievements, is beyond anything we have over here.
I'd go with Proud.

(6) Do you fear America ?
No more than I fear any other country.
Maybe that will change one day.. but our own country does quite a good job of screwing things up, so we've got enough issues we need to sort out in our own glass house, before we start throwing stones..

I wonder if Americans fear the UK government?
Perhaps they would if they knew what a bunch of clueless loons they are...?

Thanks for the input. America & Britian scares me. Sort of the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type deal.

1)
Well, since my country participates in the wars as well, I guess it's my wars too.
That's not something I'm too proud of.

2)
I think somebody knew...

3)
No, I don't... although I think that Barack Obama is a brilliant face. George W. Bush
really made you guys look both illiterate and ignorant IMHO (no offence attended).

4)
It's an outpost, a very expensive outpost.

5)
I love you guys. I had the pleasure of spending a semester of my college time in Los Angeles. The people i associated with from college and the community in west LA are, some of the finest people I've met. My short time in the US made me able to appreciate the average American college student's struggle, with the changing identity of self and country. The feeling of losing the grip on the world was apparent in class discussions (economy and sociology).

IMO you have made the enormous prosperity in the western world possible, and it looks like you've paid with your freedom (Thank you).

6)
I fear America on behalf of people less fortunate than me.

I reside in Denmark

Thank you for reading, and again- no offence attended.

From your neighbour in the north...

1. Lies...deceit. War is big business.....and they've been cashing in for years.

2. More lies, the truth will never be revealed... People in with money and power covering for other like minded individuals.

3. No... but i don't trust my government either.

4. Couldn't care less....

5. Nice people, they just have an issue with living in fear. Though you can't blame them considering anyone can possess a gun in your country.

6. Nope...

Oh and one more thing.... Your beer sucks! No offence

Thanks for the input. I don't drink so I'll take your word for it. I make my own home made wine, Wife likes it saves us some $$$$$.... Again, thanks for you opinion, Whats with the brown gravy stuff on french fries?

So you know. I have a closet full of those guns, carry one on my hip ( open carry laws) and have a conceal permit when I want to use it. It's not what makes us scary. IMHO

IMHO what makes us scary is the fact we are the only nation to ever use nuclear weapons. And when we park one of our aircraftcarriers off someones coastline amd start raining bombs down on you till you come around to our way of thinking. THATS SCARY
