Argh, I suppose I should have used the Search function: www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread710252/pg1; regardless, why is that thread in the Paranormal section? That's a bit weird.

Anyway, a couple more links......

I started getting the head tingling thing around 2008. I found this thread because I was worried it felt too good to be normal (my posts are as Draves):
www.hipforums.com...

Now I find you posting a lot more info on it as well as sites dedicated to it. I don't know about you, but back in 2008 I spent hours trying to find something about it, and a hippy forum was all I found. I didn't want to talk to my family about, for risk of sounding crazy so I spent hours looking up info. I found hippies
Well what ever helps right?

This thread really makes me wonder if it is happening more often.

Holy crap,

I've had this too, all my life..Mine mainly comes when I watch someone learning something, or reading. I've always explained it to myself as a "knowledge uptake/absorption frequency that people broadcast. that I pick up/receive".

music and watching people write can do it too. I can create it spontaneously if I concentrate like in a meditative state..but its not as intense as the natural ones. I was researching this a bit today and ran across the ATS link and laughed.. I've been reading ATS since the beginning(but only joined last year). what a coincidence..or as George Noory would say "there are no coincidences."

I haven't done oodles of research into the topic however, I am familiar with the sensation. Although I don't think my triggers are like most peoples. I have viewed several ASMR videos to try and trigger the response but none seem to do the trick. I have found that a few songs can trigger the response in me.

The last third of this song:

Seems to trigger a tingle that goes from my head down my back and is what I would think a ASMR sensation feels like.

Actually you can get a product to induce this feeling;

This is very similar to a lot of sensations felt while meditating.

Could there be a connection here?

I would say I'm a type B if this is what I think it is.

Whenever I listen to some inspirational music or watch an enlightening video I get a 'chill down my spine" usually starting at the top of my head. I really enjoyed this sensation when I first experienced it and have since learnt how to amplify it when I experience it. So now if I listen to some really good uplifting music and I get the sensation I hold onto it, make it stronger and make it spread over my body.

The cause = an uplifted spirit.
