1. The Universe is vast, so there is no real way to prove other life or not, therefore whichever way you belive makes not one whit of difference to your daily life, other than what you MAKE it mean to your life. To hinge your faith or godlessness on Aliens being anything is like doing the same for the lost tribes of Israelites. Effectively, you're conditionally fickle. (Which is not the same as merely changing your mind due to new information.)

2. The existence of something unidentified in the sky is just that: something unidentified. It does not automatically make that object something that MUST come from aliens. To point at something that has not been identified is not going to prove a thing. It has to be identified as something NOT of this world to be proof. This is why it is better to have proof of an alien rather than the aircraft.

3. Once there is factual evidence: irrefutable, not of this world aliens, does that have to mean that they are more advanced in every way to us? Ingenious technology is not proof of superiority , but of having breakthroughs in technology that have surpassed some, but not all of what we have. Think: how many people look at atomic missiles and see a backwards civilization that still consumes it's equals? We could be dealing with a bunch of sapient-eaters. Most people who believe in intelligent aliens wouldn't eat them, because we see that as evil. Who says that an alien has to care? After all, we taste like pork.

4. Why do aliens have to be our saviors or our enemies, or even our friends for that matter? A part of being Alien requires that they b ehave in what we'd consider abnormal or deviant. they don't have to like us, they don't have to hate us, they don't have to need us or care if we need them. Leave the conjecture aside, and deal with the facts.

Because if you are in the forces or some agency and you hear several people TELL it's still not *proof* - it's simply that you hear something although your sources *might* be considered more trusty than your average Joe.

there are Aliens under the ground on earth.

It is a pretty common ailment with people everywhere, from politicians to scientists, to common people...

It is much easier to live life like the ostrich..

anyone who thinks that FULL DISCLOSURE of this fact would be a good thing....has not a clue of what they are talking about!

I take everybody's personal stories with a grain of salt. You may have the kind of life experience you say you do, you may not, but your point remains the same.

I wonder how the OP would feel if a government official came out tomorrow flanked by an alien and provided undeniable full disclosure. I wonder if he would:

a) s**t a brick
b) convince himself that it was just government manipulation toward a larger, more nefarious agenda, or
c) say, "What do you know. I guess I was wrong, aliens do exist."

Certainly B would be a believable position and some of what we term UFO's are secret government tech. However I think many people who share the OP's firm opinion on the matter would choose reaction A, and that would not necessarily be a good thing for society until people adjusted to the idea.

Here's a hypothetical for all of those who say, "If they exist, why haven't they fully revealed themselves yet?" Perhaps reaction A is the reason they haven't. Perhaps they have our best interests at heart and are waiting for the society at large to evolve to a point where their presence wouldn't cause widespread panic. And I think as a whole we have. Look at people's reactions to the "War of the Worlds" broadcast and consider how people might react in a similar situation in today's age. In general people are much more sophisticated about such things than they were in the '30's.

Not saying they do or don't exist, but for the sake of argument OP, how would you honestly react if you were to find out you were wrong?
