Well, it's most touching to see fellow-posters stating their confidence (the precise extent of their knowledge of virology- upon which we assume their commendations rest, they seem to have declined to say); but the fact remains that this spam-and-scam drivel monger has not posted a single check-able assertion, reputable link, fact or verifiable proposition. This is all we ask of him/her/it.
And how precisely does anyone become an expert in a disease, the aetiology of which is at present an utter mystery?
The scare is purely that it IS unknown.Cholera is far more widespread, has a far higher mortality rate: but it's not a mystery so we don't fret too much.
The real Dr JOHN MacKenzie, a virologist from Queensland & the WHO virologist has just been on Chiense TV and I'm pretty much paraphrasing his comments as to the "mystery" of SARS.
He also confirms the Chinese statistics: about 1400 cases: about 3.5% fatality and 78% complete recovery.
Do some research! Use your brains! And find another board to annoy people on.

since even Estragon cannot devote all of his time to the war against imbecilic charlatans and intellectually-challenged purveyors of drivel for their own murky purposes....

The Chinese Minister of Health has just been on TV. The Chinese delayed in inviting the WHO here, it appears, because the WHO simply lacked the expertise and understanding. China has now shown them the right way to go about things and all is well.
I love 'em.
