I used to hang out with people like this.

No, I never thought I was a vampire. However, I did own a cool couple of pairs of professionally made fangs.

No, he isn't a vampire. No, there are no vampires. Yes, he really really believes he is one.

No, not everyone who believes this ends up killing.

Not even everyone in this group believes they are vampires, they just like the look. Some of them like the psycho-sexual element of it.

Some of them even grow up eventually.

I also know a "3000 year old walk-in Druid" and a living-God, and a re-incarnated Budhist spirit, and few other people who've managed to convince themselves of some simply fascinating things about themselves.

He's probably suffering from a personality disorder, and a psycho-sexual disorder. Could be that he is also one of those people whose brains aren't completely mature yet even though his body is.

Dr. Ian Stevenson is one of the foremost authority on Reincarnation, able to prove, using valid scientific method, that such does exist, with well over 3000 documented cases. But that is another topic.

The person in this case is having some mental issues of his own, as the very nature of vampirism is one of parasitic in nature. There are a few cases of a rare, very rare, disease and disorder, that would mimic the effects and appearance of being a vampire, however, I don't believe this guy is one. He probably needs a bit of psychological help and stay away from all of the fantasy litrature and tv shows about vampires for a very long time.

Fastest test they could perform is to stick him out in the sunight and while having him hold a cross. If he bursts into flames, he is a vampire, if not, then it is off to see a professional to talk about his mental issues.

Wait ... a 500 year old Vampire that lets a woaman escape while trying to feed I mean , really ? 500 years and still problems with catching food ? "You are the weakest link .." ... he should be put out of his misery , I mean this is a disgrace to the whole dark family ....

IF Vampires are real, according to legend they can move extremely fast, some can fly, they are incredibly strong.. etc, etc... why didn't he push all those cops away and 'disappear'? A "real" vampire is only caught if he/she wants to be.

I think the kid is delusional.. one too many weeks in front of the latest vampire video-game!

A Texas man was behind bars Monday after breaking into a stranger's apartment and biting her neck, claiming he was a 500-year-old vampire who "needed to feed," the Houston Chronicle reported.

Lyle Monroe Bensley, 19, is being held on a charge of burglary with intent to commit assault after the incident, which occurred early Saturday in Galveston, Texas, about 50 miles southeast of Houston.

Wearing only boxer shorts, Bensley forced his way into the apartment of a woman he did not know and made growling and hissing noises while biting and hitting his victim in her bed, officers told the paper.

The woman managed to get away and call police, who found Bensley in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

"He was begging us to restrain him because he didn't want to kill us," Galveston Officer Daniel Erickson told the Chronicle. "He said he needed to feed."

Bensley also told police, "I'm a vampire and I've been alive for over 500 years," according to Erickson.

Emergency medical personnel said the suspect did not appear to be under the influence of drugs. Authorities accordingly placed a mental health hold on Bensley and set his bond at $40,000, the paper reported.

The woman, meanwhile, suffered minor injuries, according to KTRK-TV.

Dude, me too. My wife made me go to the first one with her. After that, I won't go to any more so she waits till she can get it no pay-per-view and watches alone. Horrible movies, the whole lot. The only movies worse are the Harry Potter series.

Well , vampires do exist but not in the way you could think

My friend Otto (on the picture here) suffer from porphyric hemophilia since he is a little kid , his teeth are litteraly rotting because of the disease, he is suffering from sunlight , i saw it with my eyes , with witnesses , i saw his skin turn all dry and crackled due to short sun exposure, his eyes are screwed up because of something i forgot caused by his disease, he is forced to wear red tinted shades when he is outside and avoid sunlight because his skin is too pale and lack something i forgot the name.

he showed me his medical records and all the meds he have to take everydays in order to stay healthy since he is a baby ( i know him since we're kids) and guess what....he need fresh cells by eating liver and other stuff like this (most of the time i can tell you,he is disgusted by this kind of food)

most of our friends call him Dracula (he even joke about it) because he is sort of forced to work mainly during the night, the sun light giving him horrible headaches , i saw him having terrible nosebleeds becuse of it .

He often told me its terribly depressing to live that way, even his mother explained me it ruined his life because most people avoid him because he dont look healthy, he is extremly skinny ,because his body dont absorb the nutriments correctly.

And to be honest, he have a strong smell , like car battery acid, he is not unclean or anythings, i been touring europe with him for 3 months and he wash everydays, but 5 minutes after he take a shower, he smell like acid from a battery car

And he dont say he is a vampire and never tried to bite or kill people, most of the time he try to hide he have a disease

It's no joke. I actually have cutaneous porphyria and can relate. I lucked out in the sense that my teeth are in-tact and I don't need medication (anymore) but I suffer greatly under direct sunlight still to this day. I also lucked out with the acid smell.

Despite modern medical claims, there can be a craving for blood associated with it. I am a vegan but I still get cravings occasionally. The connection between porphyria and a blood appetite is only through anecdotal correlation but exists among many others with the condition.

None-the-less, it's still pretty annoying to be called a vampire just because you need to be in the shade, though.

Yes i understand it, i saw my friend skin turning gray like ash when he didnt eat enough meat or when he dont have his count with liver , it made feel sad for him so often i dont even count.
