Watched the 1st video again and saw the three lights, and it looked as though they were in different positions after the clouds disappeared, maybe some sort of cloaking or cloud cover/shield testing. My gut wants to say TR-3B type craft at least in the first video.

Hey man nice analogy of the event from the OP. However it's not even close.

The videos show water molecules disappearing and reappearing. It super fast evaporation and reformation. That is why I have concluded what is happening in the videos is due to a massive mirror on the ground reflecting sunlight. It is strong enough to move cloud's out of the way!

this is very strange as in the main video and similar video posted in the comments they appear to be 2 different types of clouds that seem to be far apart or atleast should be.

Wow, I've never seen anything like this before! Some interesting theories here.

Aesthetically speaking ... it's beautiful to watch.

Great catch S+F... Looked at these videos and the first thing that sprang to mind was.... Positive and Negatively charged Ions, the precurser to a thunderstorm? OR maybe this is cloud seeding in action? OR Solar flares reacting with our atmosphere? Eitherway it looks Electrical or Magnetic in nature due to its movement... Drift and Snap.

Could be related, maybe not. But when I saw the video the brightness of the clouds reminded me of “stenciled” clouds that result from planetary-scale waves in the Saturnian moon's atmosphere. The resonating
atmospheric vibrations create sharply defined clouds in the thick nitrogen and methane atmosphere that rains down natural methane gas.

Wow that looks odd. Very interesting OP.

Certainly is an odd video considering usual norms to be observed in the atmosphere. Possibly the processes involved in this video & others of its like in the thread are related to plasma discharges? Still, I'm not certain how a plasma discharge may account for the erratic direction field of cloud movements in a localized space. Hmm ... maybe it would be instructive to represent the cloud movements frame by frame? Get an idea of the sort of geometry that is occurring & try to pin that to a rate or rates of change? Possibly there is a known physical law that can be associated to this phenomenon as an interim explanation?

Notwithstanding the UFO explanation, I'm inclined to hypothesize that this phenomenon is somehow related to plasma discharges. That, however, is as far as I can go in trying to understand this which, I reckon, isn't terribly far.

Awesome OP.

Not a single credit for true science. Tisk Tisk. Shame on %90 of you.

Yeah, I like that number too, haha.

I did say there were some interesting theories here. I just gave your "dry ice" post a star.

Thanks to the OP for posting, I really like this video. It's very intriguing.

I looked at both videos and what struck me was how much it looked like arcing plasma like you get in those novelty balls, the kind that follow your hands. Maybe this is the same type of effect, but on a huge scale? The flexing of clouds could be because of shifting magnetic fields and ion movement, I suppose. If clouds or the air is charged and a plasma stream was moving nearby, wouldn't it play hell with the charged particles? I'm picturing iron filings on a table with a bar magnet. They snap around just like in the video. I'm not an expert, but that's what I see.

you have to improve the title of this thread by adding proper punctuation of sorts. every time i see the title i immediately think "holy crap, this cloud is shooting singapore!". rather than the more reasonable: Weird Cloud Shoots: Singapore, or Weird Cloud Shoots IN Singapore. it's very misleading is all i'm saying. cool video though.

The movement was so jerky and mechanical that it could possibly be a giant mirror at least for the first video. For the second this theory may fall apart because the anomaly is appearing behind the clouds in the middle of a thunderhead. Amazing videos both of them.. they are definitely not auto focus or reflections on the camera after viewing in HD.

DURRRRRRP Yeah I mean swamp gas... up in the clouds...

Of course I don't mean swamp gas, are you broken? Where did I even say in my post that it must be swamp gas? You know there are different gases in the atmosphere right?

wow. That is freaky. Those clouds realy move fast but those lights? Unbelieveble. If it was night you could say it was someone playing around but this was in the day. Hoax? I dont think so. Unless they can fly in that cloud with disco lights strapped underneath. Unsure exactly what it was but it wasnt a hoax.

According to forgetomori, it is likely the phenomenon we're looking at is something called a "Crown flash". This is based on a reference to a 1971 letter sent to Nature by Gall and Graves from the Univeristy of Michigan, which forgetomori says describe exactly what the youtube videos record.

For those of you that won't bother to open the link, here's what it says:

July 2, 1970, Ann Arbor, Michigan. While observing a thundercloud. "At and just above the peak of the storm cell the cloud mass seemed to be undergoing sudden changes in brightness lasting for several seconds at a time....

The phenomenon continued to occur repeatedly at intervals of 30-60 s during the next 15 or 20 min, providing the basis for the following description. The sudden brightening effect began concurrently with lightning strokes in the main cloud mass, but continued after the lightning flash was over. It had the appearance of a ripple-like upward and outward spread of radiance from the region just west of the peak of the cumulus cloud, resembling somewhat a fan-like display of aurora borealis. It lasted a substantial fraction of a second with each lightning stroke.

On one or two occasions it had the appearance of a bright ring moving rapidly outward and upward above the cumulus peak. On these occasions it was clearly observed to extend beyond the cloud and into the blue sky. A linear shadow, apparently cast by one of the cumulus masses, appared to shift its position suddenly up or down with each occurence of the event."

Here's a link to the letter at Nature, it's not that easy to understand for those unfamiliar with the lingo.

Possible Newly Recognized Meteorological Phenomenon called Crown Flash

Anyway, for those of you who awaited a thought out explanation can now rest easy.

That's awesome, thank-you for doing the digging. It looks like you found the explanation. Now we can all go blind trying to see this rare phenomena.
