Also wounded was his grandmother. The kid has been in related incidents in the past with the same weapons. Why would he still possess them is beyond me.

A Georgia teen killed his great-grandmother and wounded his grandmother with a sword before cops took him down with a stun gun, officials saidCops in Douglasville arrived at the home Monday afternoon to find the dead woman lying in the front yard and the 15-year-old boy standing in the doorway with a sword and a pellet gun, which he used to shoot out the windows of their squad car, Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller told The Associated Press..

What's similar to killing your grandmother with a sword, that he wouldn't get punished for? o.0

The article says he cut his grandmother in the foot. I mean out of context you don't really know what happened so yeah

Why the hell didn't the cops put a round in this animal when he shot at the cop cars? Now the public is going to waste money on this kids trial. Why even let him live? What is the point of him being kept alive in a jail cell for life, getting free meals.

What is similar about two incidents where he attacked his family members with a sword?

Did you really ask me that?

In both he attacked his family members with a sword. Was arrested for both....This time he killed some one...

They article says it was a different sword this time...

Look, if someone in my family had a habit of going after people with swords, maybe it is time to consider not letting him have swords anymore.

That's all I am saying.

WHAT? he's 15 and you want to kill him? man, you are one cold individual. he's 15; something happened to seriously mess this kid's head up. or someone messed this kid's head up doing something horrendous to him. but that didn't occur to you did it. he's 15 so WTF, let's just remove him from the face of the earth. is that how you'd like it to be? .......... you should run for governor of Texas; you certainly have the moral qualifications.

Forgive me for saying it but this is a case I wish the cop grabbed his real weapon by mistake and put one between the kids eyes. You can't exactly argue guilt when the kid is holding the murder weapon in the middle of a bloodbath. It would have saved the taxpayers millions, probably saved lives when this psycho gets out again some day and generally done the world a favor.

Again..Forgive me..but there is a special place in the pits of Hades for someone who would do this to elderly folk who ought to be respected for having reached their point in life, if nothing else at all. Evil.....

How do you know whether the boy retaliated against them for something.Maybe he was being abused?

Oh, yeah right.... GREAT-Grandma and Grandma were such a dire threat to his life he couldn't run and had to try and hack them to pieces. Oh, and the other two times he'd become violent on family? I'm sure a defense attorney will come up with something like that. What else can they do? Plead guilty? No one does that....but in the real world, this kid is a psycho by the sheer nature of his crime.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out he had a past history of animal abuse, that kind of thing.

I'm really surprised in this day and age that somebody, say for instance a teacher or a school counselor, didn't take notice of the obvious issues this kid had and pulled him to side for help.

On a side note, I do find it interesting that he allegedly fired a BB gun at the police officers, shooting out the windows in the squad car, and all he got for his troubles was a good tazing.

Had this individual been, oh I don't know, African-American or Latino, how much do you want to bet the taser wouldn't have been the first thing the officers would have fired with?

Off topic, just an observation.

I can see all us history reenactors will lose the privilege of owning a sword now the way the law makers are running amok these days.

One wonders what drives a person, regardless of age to this..
