Tulsa Police enter the sixth day of trying to get William Sturdivant to come down from the tower outside FOX23 studios.

On Monday afternoon, 25-year old Sturdivant climbed part of the way down before climbing back up to a spot about 100 feet up the 300 foot tower.

A Tulsa police negotiator says he believes the man will eventually become so tired and dehydrated that he has to give in to rescue efforts.

I'll just bet he's having the time of his life. He's the center of attention and knew he would be. Look, he even made national coverage. The gold medal for these kinds of nuts. I say they just fall back to set a perimeter, push the news media far enough to lose their shot and all but ignore the moron. He'll bring himself down quickly enough when this isn't fun anymore.

6 days... Hmpf. If this guy was going to take a flyer, he wouldn't have screwed around a week thinking about it.

Only in America would people envy and want to buy the same socks as a lunatic who has been on top of cell tower for 6 days. They are pretty sweet though, they would go well with my red J’s.

why doesn't the article tell us why he's up there?

or did i misread something.

they're just making him look bad.

he's a kook.
he's mentally ill.
he's a convicted fellon.

etc.

maybe the man has a cause, we don't know.

people do desperate things in desperate times.

or maybe i just misread the article and he's actually a little loony up there

they found him trespassing, chased him onto the roof, and from there he climbed up the tower.

apparently he recently walked from tulsa to dallas, and stood on a bridge in missouri for several hours
(i searched for more news sources on google using his name, im not sure which source that was now)

www.fox23.com...

Time behind bars separated him from his son. Stevens said his friend had another baby on the way, and he found out his mother has cancer.

so yeah.. apparently he just got out of jail, then all this crap happens, then hes caught trespassing so now he knows he'll go back to jail again...

id probably stay up there too if were him.

oh man, i can't even imagine being locked up seperated from your loved ones, but that's another topic.

i think we should have a little compassion for his situation.

and the way FOX is portraying him, biased journalism at its finest
