Terrorism

I have been thinking for a while. I know that when people think of terrorism they atomatically connect it to the Middle East and suicide bombers. But, I believe that this is just a stereotype that the administrations of the Western world has created. I was wondering what you personally though terrorism was.

I agree many people think associate the middle east with terroism. This is a horable stereotype.

www.webster.com defines terror as: ''violence (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands''.

Correct me if im wrong, but has iraq done this since the persian gulf war. The word "terrorist" is used as propaganda. Never listen to the headline, like "war on iraq" or "war on terrorism", they are created for propaganda purposes only. Havent you realized how most major news stations use the same headline.

This is what the US army are doing to the Iraqis at the moment.

They are terrorisizing them with their killing bombs, B52s, tanks etc.

It is not called "Terrorism" because it has the mandate of the US government. What a joke!

Only when those tactics are accepted by national armies is the term usage dropped. Terrorism to me is any type of political statement motivated by violence.
