The closest the Space Station came to you was Blythville AK. That would have been to your Southeast.

I live out in the country and I was heading back from the general store and I saw 2 aliens shaking hands and then climb into their UFO and fly out to 3000ft and then go invisible.
It was awesome!

So I wonder which satellite it was,or was it one.edit on 14-8-2011 by kdog1982 because: (no reason given)

It's heading back towards the USA now.
Go to www.heavens-above.com... and put your location in to see if it will be visible again, and if it is, watch it and compare with the earlier sighting.

I live in Cape Girardeau, and last night I saw the ISS, it was a bright light and traveling very fast so that's probably what you saw, sir.

High fast = low slow. It depends upon your preconceptions. If it's high and fast and you think its low, it looks like is slow. If it's low and fast and you think it's high, it looks like its slow. The trouble is that it is impossible to judge the height of a light in the sky.

But since none of us apparently saw what you saw, you win.
But it is an interesting coincidence that the ISS was there at the same time.edit on 8/15/2011 by Phage because: (no reason given)
