I am posting this in the love of wisdom forum. Knowing grammar and speech opens the door to learning. Is there any better reason to master it?

Is it true that that "that" that "that" refers to will not be understood by many?

I believe it is true, and the issue is complicated by that that "that" refers to would appear to be "that"!

That "that" that "that" refers to can have the noun misinterpreted with that "that" that is suppose to reference. For example: There was a cat sitting next to a dog that said ... (meow or woof )

If this "that" and that "that" are the same then what is this?

This could be that or that could this, the main thing is that this "that" and the other "that" are not the same that's that "that" that is refering to.
