What do you think it looks like the Aurora, would be interesting to see what pattern con trails it produces whilst in flight and if it makes use of pulse detonation thrusters.

HA!, I see i'm not the only one with this idea.

This is being discussed here: www.abovetopsecret.com... -- if you have any insight on the project, add some info! =]

The US military's Falcon HTV-2 - which travels 22 times faster than a commercial airliner - was launched amid promises of flights from London to Sydney in less than an hour.

Attached to the back of a rocket, the plane blasted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, before detaching at the edge of space.

But after around nine minutes, the craft stopped sending signals and is believed to have plunged into the ocean.

If only we had superman around these days it might have turned out a bit different...

Eerily similar in some ways, especially given that the Aurora aircraft was attached to a rocket.

Well when we get a look at the contrail this craft produces we will know for sure if it is the Aurora, due to the characteristic donut on a rope contrail.

Even if it is though its obsolete junk considering the control of gravity was technologically achieved in the late 1930s, the bell project and the vril discs, remember that!

Gliders don't produce contrails. The only contrail you will get from this is from the launch vehicle.

Many would agree that project aurora consists of multiple aircraft technology demonstrators and yes this could be one of these aircraft. The original manned version we`ve all seen artist reditions of was probably built to test the shape of the airframe, pulse engines, etc. I dont believe it is THE Aurora but part of "Project Aurora". Wonder what is sounded like, i bet it was loud as hell.
Anyone every seen a show called "Dogfights of the Future"? At the end they talk about high speed orbiting combat aircraft and that kind of looks like one of those.

Even more likely, if you put a human in this craft, he/she would be turned into a skin bag full of gut jelly due to the G-forces involved when flying at Mach 20. Imagine sitting through a 50G bank in that thing!!

So hydrogen pulsed fuel won't create a contrail? If it's based on work done by the HyperX it most assuringly will produce a contrail. But not for long :-) The hyperX only had 20 seconds of fuel. Which turned into water vapor when used...
I think this thing is going to be for experimental flights, maybe be used as a kinetic weapon, image it hitting something at 13000 MPH??? Oh yeah, something is going to happen, imagine that being a missile in space! This could be launched from a ship, straight up!! You could even use those magnetic rails to launch it, no smoke!!!

The craft itself is nothing more that an advanced glider. There is no engine on it to create the contrail. The lift vehicle that the craft is launched on will create an exhaust plume as it launches but the vehicle itself will not.

So it gets to 20,000 mph by gliding? lol.. noob idiot ^

Yes, its a glider. It reaches it's high speeds with the launch vehicle and gravitational pull from the earth upon atmospheric reentery.

Are there any actual photos or just artist depictions of the Aurora?
