Why I suggest Having These WTSHTF

This will probably be one of my last WTSHTF threads.
All of my rifles have either ACOG, Doctor, holographic and or riflescope’s. All have Triton iron sights, weapon lights, and except for my sniper rifle, have laser sights (both green and red).
My reasoning behind having these weapons is because; if we are invaded (within or without) I have my trusty AK-47. Both Russia and China use these. Mine will sound no different and use their ammo.
Next I have the trusty Springfield M1A. It shoots a .308, is a semi auto, and is accurate to 1000 yards. It’s ammo can be found both in US military or civilian grades.
Then I have my Bushmaster flat top .223. A US battle proven workhorse and the ammo is plentiful, and can even be found in some gas stations (GOD, what a truly blessed country we used to live in).

For those 1000 to 1400 yard shots, I have my Remington 700. Yes, it’s custom .308 also. The glass I use is a Leupold Mark 4 6.5 – 20 X 50mm with a killflash.

My personal side arm is a Springfield XD-45 (no foreign Glock for me!) with TruGlo Tritium Fiber Optic Pistol Sights. These sights are the most revolutionary innovation since TRUGLO, introduced fiber optics. TFO refers to a combination of Tritium and Fiber Optic’s. The Tritium maintains the brightness level of the sight in low light (or NO light) conditions. That means you can see your sight even in complete darkness—with perfect transition through all light conditions. Additionally I use an Insight M6X-700 light/laser combo with a Blackhawk tactical drop holster (spring never broke or jammed in 5 or 6 years).
When needed, I can smuggle this inside my flight suit.


This is not a very focused photo, but the orange and green dots work very well for me.
Not shown is my Mossburg battle 500, 12 Ga shotgun, with fore grip, laser (for slugs), holographic sight and mag extension tube.
I hope those of you who don’t have your options ready, can get an idea and prepare yourselves.

I'm currently in Ohio.
But plan to move quickly West or South.

wish I could afford thoes lol all I got is a russian 9mil ppk knock off (It sucks finding ammo). And a break action shotgun( could not afford the pump but it was for hunting anyway). Not the best for defence but its what I got to work with. So I hope tsdnhtf.

Im guna have to wait till I join the army, least then I can have an SA 80 and a GPMG to play with, cant take them home though!!!

You people who procrastinate about preparing for anything are the reason people like us get prepared.
You all had fair warning to get your supplies ready for years now!

If anyone thinks that there won't be scams set for "helpless victims"....
Or even traps setup to use "helpless victims" in order to take things from others...

All I can say is that if anyone thinks that help will be right around the corner...you are sadly mistaken.
For years now people have been saying to get your collective butts together!
Spend money on supplies not fast food, cable bills or cell phone bills, etc.
Get your priorities straight!

People say they don't have enough money for guns and ammo...
But they sure got enough money to pay for internet, cable and bar-hopping every night!
Or whatever else they don't need...

I especially enjoy the color scheme.
I don't know why you want to go west or south, though.
Ohio is a great place for any survival scenario.
Plenty of land, natural resources, and water!

I don't have any assault rifles or smg's mostly because i'd be too tempted to waste ammo, but i think i'll be fine with my S&W .357 mag, BSA .303, and winchest 12ga pump. all are very reliable and ammo is extremely common, especially for the .357 since i can use 38's. And i've heard all the people who talk bad about .303's, but i've hit way more targets than i've missed, i don't care how old and mass produced it is, it works well, and is reliable (just like a small block chevy V8), and with the winchester, well, shotgun reloads are probably the easiest to do, plus, just like the other two, it's easy to get parts, and it's very reliable.

Any plans to travel to The Netherlands anytime soon.....everybody here is without guns. It would give reassurance to know that you are in the country......with your guns.....

Of all the various apocalyptic scenarios, most of them are the stuff of pure fiction and

asteroid may hit us one day or yellowstone may blow its load. But its very unlikely to
happen in our lifetimes. The biggest threat to civilization is still thermo nuclear war
'and even that has a pretty low chance of ever happening' but if it did, assuming you
survived the inital blasts and subsequent firestorm, a well oiled set of guns and a road
map are not gonna shield you from a slow radiation poisoned death
The only other real threat is a global pandemic from some newly mutated virus ect,
likewise guns and travel plans will not save you from that either. I realy don't get the
whole survivalist mentality thing..

No worries, just confusing is all.
Everyone needs to actually have preparations of some sort.
That's why stores shelves go empty in a black out.
Panic, chaos and disorder are not fun to deal with.
(I have witnessed riots in full scale)
That and I have strong convictions against certain types of people.
Most of which won't prepare for anything because of:
Apathy.
Laziness.
Ignorance.
Or just plain rebellion.

Thank you for pointing that out. The XD was originally the HS200. Still made in the same Croatian factory

OUTTA BOX!!!!!!! What if the SHTF REAL version involved beings who hunt like on predator (those armed) just to add.

You are correct! It is made in Croatia. And it is an excellent pistol.
I had heard that Gus Glock had made a very insulting comment about Americans. I don't know if it's fact or not. But it did rub me the wrong way and, Glocks feel like I'm holding a can of peaches. Just to big for my hand. You have to shoot what is comfortable to You.
