I have dreams where I'm flying faaaaairly frequently, and by that I mean maybe once or twice a year (but when you compare that to the thousands of other dreams I have which are completely random, it is pretty frequent).
I'm glad I'm not the only person that swims as they fly. I'm doing the breast stroke when I fly lol (and my mum does too).
I once had a dream where I was flying above a town and a walking volcano (yes walking lol it's still a dream!) was erupting all over the place.

Also been dreaming of flying since a young child, feel very real indeed don't they?
I'm not sure what's going on In the Brain to make It feel that real but It's an amazing rush.
Don't you guys hate It though when you can be flying high, fast and It comes natural like your'e Superman, but when everyone has fallen In love with you and your'e a hero, you can't fly and you can't get off the ground, then all the people loss interest.

Then you wake up....It's not nice lol.

Superb. I dream of flying quite often in my dreams. I actually awake in my dreams often too, when i do i find that i can fly easily at times and at others it takes a bit of effort. Why this happens i don't know, but i am convinced that the dream state is a real state in a real place. Maybe the depth of your consciousness at the time determines how easily it is to manipulate hence the atmospheric thickness between materialism and spiritual.

Ohhhhhh yes
I hate becoming grounded and not being able to take off again. I've had them since I was really young too. I remember one dream where I was trying to prove to people I could fly, and then not being able to take off

Flying Dream - Psychological Meaning: To dream of flying is usually a pleasant experience and is accompanied by a sense of exhilaration and freedom. It usually feels completely natural as if we have somehow always known how to do this. Rarely is the dream accompanied by a fear of heights or of falling. Flying may symbolise liberation from something that's been troubling you. The obstructions and shackles that have held you down have been released and you can now experience the same sense of freedom that we see in the birds that soar in the sky. The sky may symbolise consciousness and spirituality so to dream of flying can represent the expansion of your awareness and the unfolding of your higher self. (Freud of course took a more materialistic view: to him flying dreams represented sexual release.)
