Are you kidding? Animals kill their young often to give the other ones a better chance of survival, obviously if an animal sees its baby is as good as dead it has the intelligence to end its suffering. Animal suicide btw is also proven.

I put off reading this topic for as long as possible, now that i've read it, I honestly want to cry. That is SO horrible. I really have no other words to say that won't get me in trouble & censored. Poor bears.

Oh, ok. So its ok to drive a species to extintion, but its not ok to mis-treat animals

I did not say it is OK to drive species to extinction, it is not. I would rather choose extincion as a more moral choice over existence full of suffering, if you ask me, tough.

But this is a topic for different thread, this one is about mistreating animals, not driving them to extinction.

I've not doubt this is a fake story made up to draw attention to a cause.

Problem is when they start lying their credibility and trust in their campaign goes out the window. People begin to ignore them and the valid cause can be damaged.

like i said, it is very sad that animals are treated in this way, but ANIMALS DO NOT COMMIT SUICIDE.

if i asked a thousands snails to add 2 and 2 together and dropped them im a rook full of numbered tiles, chances are 1 will stop on the number 4. it does not mean this snail can do math. out of the thousands of animals deaths people see a few are bound to look like suicide.

in this case the mother bear heard her cubs cries, went to protect it, she killed it by accident and ran into the wall in a blind rage resulting in its own death, IT DID NOT think anyhting along the lines of suicide, it cannot comprehend suicide or mercy killing. it is an animal, driven by instincts.

now let me clarify (as most of you are getting confused), this DOES NOT mean i condone what they are doing, only that i dont beleive the bear commited suicide.

I agree, but ii isnt the organisations that usually make these stories up, its usually lone individuals looking for some attention which imo doesnt take any credibility away from the major campaigners

Thats false, research more please. As an example the termite will block itself in a tunnel and attack intruders and when it is facing certain death as it is wedged in and can not escape it deliberately explodes itself covering the invaders in a sticky, toxic substance. Or when they have been observed doing this over and over again is that just coincidence?

one more reason to STOP BUYING anything chinese.

Also why is suicide such a hard thing for an animal to grasp? They understand death and how to kill and how they themselves can be killed, they are not totally stupid. They know for example not to fall from a high cliff as it will kill them, so they know how to kill themselves, why is it so hard for them to decide to die?

Like I explained with termites as well some animals do commit suicide to protect others

I am sick and tired of all these people like the poster above, that enjoy spreading hate all over the internet. My wife is Chinese, so, half my family is Chinese, my daughter is half chinese. Are you saying the same thing about my wife? People like you are just as bad as these people doing horrible things to animals. You label a whole country in the same box. If some kills animals, they all kill animals, it is getting a bit annoying now, and im suprised that no one else on this thread, who know im right, have had the bottle to shoot these posters down.

Like i said before, which everyone ignored. America has killed thousnads of innocent people in pointless wars. Does that mean that all Americans are evil, terrible people?

This is really insane, animals are so much more intelligent then we give them credit for.
This ruined my morning. It also made me think about the Japanese killing dolphins using a siren that attracts them.
We are what's wrong with this planet. It's an evil world but the things we do no animal could ever fathom.

Well you know we all want you to back up your claim with some proof. Even if you think that is normal behavior? That's extreme behavior.

This is so sad. Can't people look for another way to make money instead of making innocent animals suffer? I wonder how those farmers would like to be locked in their own cages.

Animals have feelings too... there is your proof.

This is the legacy of mankind! If people want to protest, protest about man's filthy attitude towards the rest of the world's species. Human's always have a choice, these poor creatures have none!
